Between now and August 1st she is rehearsing for the tour. We still have no confirmation if she is even in Vancouver yet. However, her band and dancers are.

I'm not saying its impossible as the John Wayne video was rehearsed and filmed before the Super Bowl. However, we know that she's only been rehearsing for a few weeks and a major world tour is starting soon.

She has a show August 1, 3, 5, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 19, 21, 23, 25

The VMAs are on August 27th. That gives her 13 "off" days (which are really travel days) to prep, and shows in between all of them.

Its not impossible, but its unlikely. 

And while I'm always "here" for Gaga to do anything, I think its something she could do next year, to launch a new era or celebrate the success of the Joanne era and the end of a soldout world tour (which I hope is extended into 2018 with Asia/Australia)

I hope not tbh. The Joanne era videos were all extremely disappointing compared to what she can do, I'd rather wait the next pop era to see how her music videos are to tell if she deserves it or not. I don't want her to get such an award if all her next music videos will be as cheap and lazy as the Joanne era's videos.

She won't do anything more than her hits in the end for Vanguard award, and she is already know the moves automatically. There won't be new songs or new moves need to be rehearsed. It is much different with doing performance for a concert or for new songs.

Look at Coachella for example, she have been filming ASIB weeks long beforehand, she did fine.

Other than that she just need fitting the clothes and how to put up the show, the stage and everything.

Vanguard award, like every other Lifetime Achievement awards, is an award you will be notified very early on since the awarded performer need to rehearse (and compose their podium talks if they like) and all that. It is not something like, "surprise, you won!", so, if she is the recipient for this year, she already know probably from 2-3 months ago and her management must have already started doing meetings and all since.

I personally would rather have another solid era before getting it, but this time with better videos. I liked John Wayne and to an extent Perfect Illusion was okay, but not exactly Vanguard worthy. I think it would feel more triumphant to come off the back of an era with really spectacular visuals.

Plus I'd rather her have more time to prepare a memorable performance rather than rush something in the middle of the tour.

Tbh I kind of want Gaga to completely ignore the VMAs for the rest of her life. It's a **** show and I'm still pissed at them canceling her original concept for Applause back in the day.
