Illuminati Freak 2,432
I'm so sad for the Aussie fans. :( They've been so supportive, not to mention, a large part of them have travelled overseas just to see her in concert with the hope that just maybe the next tour will go down under and on top of that, it's been promised and hyped each and every time only to lead to more disappointment. They've shown their loyalty, so the least Madonna could do is shut the promoters up and insist that no word of a possible visit to Australia just in case plans don't fall through, hense leading to disappointment. @daedgeofgloryyo, I'm so sorry for u. Don't let anyone tell u that you'll get over it, you've every right to feel how u feel. Those that get to still look forward to their seats to see her speak too quickly without empathizing with ones that are burned by this. It's time Madonna realize that she's taken her fans for granted one too many times, in this case, the Australian fans. And I'm sick of her alienating of fans as well. I'm so put off with her this era. She's never been so smug in my eyes. That's how I feel, u got a problem with it? :****this: I agree she does take some things for granted and could show her fans in other territories a lot more love & appreciation. Any back lash that happens from this is deserved.
SoldierDown 49
I went to the tour in Hyde Park last night and she was amazing! The only thing that was bad for me was how far away general admission was from the stage. I knew there was a golden circle obviously, but it was the most ridiculously huge golden circle I'd ever seen. Like throughout the show it was only 1/3 full. So everyone with general admission tickets were so far away yet with a ****load of empty space infront of them, it was ridiculous. I was third row of general admission, so I could still just about see her, but it just seemed like such a stupid set-up, when hundreds of people could have had a better view... [/endrant] At least I got to see it at all though I suppose, poor Aussies. Edited July 18, 2012 by SoldierDown
GlitterGrease 53
The thing that sucks is that Aussie dates were basically guaranteed.
Chucky 39
I agree she does take some things for granted and could show her fans in other territories a lot more love & appreciation. Any back lash that happens from this is deserved. I say what I say, but at the same time, I understand she's only human and maybe she bit off more than she can chew. I'm sure she's at this point in the tour and is thinking, "How am i gonna get through the rest of this?". Let's face it, she may have a lot of stamina, but the woman is middle aged. It can't be easy doing this tour, let alone for more months on end. But at the same time, she should have never allowed her or anyone in her camp to even sneeze the word of going down under. She's got to understand she's letting down alot of people. I don't think she really cares though, she's got a huge bank account. She really is a material girl, now more than ever. It's almost disgusting. I fear that I'm becoming less and less of a fan. That doesn't give anyone here the right however to tell me to get out of this thread. I'll post here as much as I want and as long as my criticism or dislike of Madonna is constructive and not "shady", I can and will post my thoughts here. This thread is not for the soul purpose of kissing her ass, thank u. If anything, I'm sad. I feel this era started out as what looked like my ideal Madonna comeback, but quickly, one thing after the other seemed to discredit it more and more. The lack of promotion, the unrealistic image portrayal of her looking like she's 20 years old. The BTW/EY mashup, the latest video, her alienating her fans and ultimately disappointing them, the fact that everything this era seems to have reeked of one big money making scheme all because her name is Madonna. I could go on and on. I feel almost sad now listening to her classics. I feel I'm listening to something/someone so dishonest that it just doesn't have the appeal it once had. I feel such a sense of shallowness and hollowness. She's been more smug to me this era that she's almost been unlikeable. I say this, but at the same time, I ****ing love her to bits at other times. All it takes is a reminder of a charming interview or a smile of hers and i'm swooning. But at the core of it all, I'm just so unsatisfied with her. I go through periods where I freely voice my dislike of something only to have that part of me ring off, "cmon, you know u love her". I admit, I love her at times and at others, I strongly dislike her. I feel that I'm only holding on to her as she is such a big part of my memories of growing up and has been part of my life and ears for so long. But the newer material is just getting more and more bland and dishonest that I just can't justify it anymore. :( I never thought I would say this, but I really am wishing more and more that she would just call it quits and sustain at least 1/3 of her legendary/icon status before it's completely diminished. I just want to give you a big big hug because I feel your pain. I feel like her lack of motivation for this entire era is killing my motivation to still listen to any material regarding MDNA. ringomingo 0
Oh my my my. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol. lol what l meant to say is the people in the golden circle were singing & dancing along. I thought the mash up was uncalled for when i first heard about it but it felt like a cheeky homage to Gaga
Guest theFuture
Oh my my my. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol. The mash-up got so blown out of proportion. It was really nice and dignified live, actually.

I feel like her lack of motivation for this entire era is killing my motivation to still listen to any material regarding MDNA. I just find this era makes me want to listen to Madonna less and less. Her hits don't even have the same appeal to me anymore. To think I found any faults at all with the HC era. That **** was epic in contrast, at least I still enjoyed some of the era and music and it didn't affect her classics to me in the slightest. Now, I'm just like ..... Listening to 'Hard Candy" to remind me of my Madonna love tbh. :tea:

Guest theFuture
Even local tour passes read "MDNA 2012/13"... I really don't think Aussie fans should give their hope up already. ;) By the way, these are from London. Edited July 18, 2012 by theFuture

That's nice to know that people are actually embracing it more as an homage versus one throwing shade at the other.
