I loved Lana's previous records but I can't get into Lust for Life. It sounds similar to Honeymoon but with less catchiness and cohesion. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest :( I hope the album will grow on me the same way Honeymoon (my fav album of hers so far) did.

That's what disappointed me as well. Is it because she really didn't have a more coherent theme this time? Born To Die - Honeymoon had very focused themes and sounds. LFL is just a messy concoction of B-side songs from different eras that did not work at all as a compilation.

That said, Change is the only non-single song I loved on LFL. loved "Love" from the start and then I grew into liking the title track as well.

I vote Fleet Foxes' "Crack-UP" or Perfume Genius' "No Shape" as the best album of 2017.

It literally has zero fillers, no boring songs (unlike Honeymoon) and each song sounds different yet the album is super consistent . Are we even listening to the same thing?

Coachella - Woodstock in My Mind, God Bless America..., Heroin, and Lust for Life...

She could release the fastest track of her life and ya'll would fall asleep :ladyhaha:

I haven't stopped listening to it since last night. I bought it on iTunes, the signed vinyl, and two CD copies (one with the poster and one regular). The last Lana album I listened to nonstop was BTD back in 2014. This stands as one of her BEST albums

It's to early to judge but us of now for MY 2017:

1. Number 1 Angel (which ironically isn't even an album, just a mixtape/free release)

2. I See You (like........ Indie/Pop/Rock/House/Club/"Hipster" perfection)

3. Big Fish Theory (I could imagine that most of y'all never heard of Vince Staples -.-')

As of now it's to early for my to place Lust for Life somewhere exact but as far as I listened to it.... it's pretty good & has a very great energy w/ the positive vibe that was already given of by the title of the album....

I like both but I think there's more songs on lust 4 life that I like. But then again I like almost every single song on melodrama too so I'm just gonna stick to loving both of them

MELODRAMA holds the throne.

We'll wait for MATD4 to dethrone it.

Lust For Life is a beautiful work of art but it's so far away from being better than Melodrama. #Facts

L4L is too long and drags. I can't even finish it.

But the first part of the album is A+
