It's usually @ midnight which would be in 8 minutes, but I doubt that's gonna happen, so maybe by midday tomorrow

Oh my. Guess she was just more of a media staple than anything else and most of that media came from X Factor.

My pleasure. ;) Yes, "media staple" really is the best way to describe her. She's far more well known for her looks, being part of a girl band, punching a toilet attendent and marrying a footballer who cheated on her than for her music. Her music was more an extension of her brand than anything else.

Provided you can download it early tomorrow (which is technically today), I should say so. Ellie's only #1 at the moment because the songs below her have already had their peaks, but she wasn't banking on Gaga releasing at the same time. That was precisely the reason why she bumped up her release to this week, so she'd have no competition. Then again, there's YouTube ads running on every video supporting her new track, so she might have a slight advantage there. But let's face it - Ellie's fanbase is nowhere near as big or as devoted as Gaga's. Because Gaga had no UK #1's with BTW, her fans won't be messing about this time and will be requesting and promoting Applause like crazy and Ellie doesn't have that sort of backing.
