It'll be a close race for sure. Though, unless someone pulls out a huge surprise, Gaga will ride the success of her video and (hopeful) Radio 1 playlisting to Number 1 next week. By expecting nothing, I've received the outcome I've wanted. Having high expectations didn't work, so I didn't have any and I've been getting good news all year because of it (I like to think my mantra was what helped Andy Murray win this year!) So, please, everyone: rejoice over the small victories but then calm back down and just take things as it comes. Even if she does get to #1 tomorrow, don't celebrate yet. Slow and steady wins the race and it's never over til its over. It's logical that Ellie will be falling at this point as her small fanbase will have bought her single by now and she was never a big seller to begin with but many surprises have happened on these charts, so I won't count her out yet.
