Does every producer and every collaborator he's worked with need to release a statement? No, then why does she?

Exactly!

Then why doesn't DJ Snake release a public statement since he did a Let Me Love You remix with R Kelly just within this past year?:sure:

I think legalities make her unable to speak about this. R. Kelly is still considered innocent, and Gaga can't just issue an apology that will suggest he's incriminating R. Kelly in an unproven claim.

Gaga doesn't need to say anything about this. She collaborated with him back in 2013 which was a long time ago.

I’m still just confused as to why she worked with him at all, especially on that song (letting R Kelly sing “do what I want with your body” on your album is just :awkney: not :selena: smart :saladga:). Was she really unaware of the allegations? Like who in their right mind would do this and think it was a good idea :toofunny:

Of course she was aware. It's still in line with Gaga's message of the media painting image of people when they have no idea who they really are.

No need to. Their collaboration was years ago, and by saying something, she is just reminding people of it. What she needs to do is replace DWUW on her album to either the solo or Christina version and keep it at that. Actions speak a thousand words.

Why would she adress something that happened years ago? It's already done, can't be changed, and if she does speak on it, it would only bring more attention to it.

I guess I just don’t get it then...so her mindset was “r kelly has been accused of rape but it’s just the media painting a bad picture of him and I know this somehow so therefore I should let him sing about doing what he wants with my body on my album to prove a point #ARTPOP”?

As someone who had been sexually assaulted early on in her career I would think she’d avoid this like the plague...

but im sure this has been discussed on here endlessly and it’s really an old topic so i’ll stop. I’m just still not really sure why she thought it was a good idea

Does Celine? Does Bieber? Does Chance? Does Jennifer Hudson? He's worked with a lot of people. If Gaga should release a statement, then we should expect a statement from everyone he's ever worked with.
