I don't give a phuck about Whitney's voice frankly, there are millions of talented women with voices even better than Whitney but great voice is just not enough to make you as iconic and memorable as Madonna is. Music is about so much more than just one certain type of powerful vocals.

And it is not debatable, if you think it is I have nothing more to tell you because you clearly understand and know nothing about music.

No one is debating that Whitney was a master of vocal technique. She truly had a great voice. However, Madonna is a better performer. She has well written songs. She brings irony and art to her pop stardom. She also adds controversy and cultural nuances to everything.  She is also more culturally important. She is the most culturally influential female pop star of all time.

Michael and Madonna are the King and Queens of Pop. They have the biggest arsenal of hits, and have sold more records than any other solo acts. If It was just about the voice, than Madonna nor Michael would be at the top. But that is not how pop stardom works.

You're the one failing to grasp reality. You keep bringing up Whitney's brilliant vocals, which everyone already knows. But there is much much more than that when it comes to becoming an ICONIC, culturally relevant popstar. I'm not even a Madonna fan, but reality is reality.

She really did. Her sex book got banned, her album erotica didn't do well (brilliant album by the way), she was so creative and kept getting **** on by the general public.
