Only time she really takes a break but that's only to record new music. Gaga did the the Super Bowl this year, which was her most watched show ever as well as the biggest moment of her career. It was very pop oriented. She still cares about being a pop star. I think she just needed a break from heavy pop promotion. Which is probably why Joanne didn't have a lot of promo. Towards the end of the Joanne era she started going back to her old style. The video for John Wayne proved that. The tour is going to be great regardless. The second MB tour was practically planned at the last minute and it's considered one of the best pop tours ever. Her next era might be more pop oriented. I feel she is slowly getting back into straight pop again. She looked kinda tired of it during ARTPOP. C2C was of course nothing but jazz. Joanne wasn't pop at first but then slowly started to morph back in. I'm glad she's being kind of secretive. She used to hype herself way too much. Remember when she used to make announcements about announcements? Everyone got super disappointed. I wouldn't mind if she just drops her next album out of nowhere with no promo leading up to it. Perhaps the problem is with some of her fans and not her. The fact that some of them have the nerve to only complain 24/7 and not once look at all the great things she has done in the past year is sad. She genuinely loves music, and I think her drive to be the best helped her look past all the icky parts of being a pop star. But now that she has tasted that EXTREME amount of fame, she realizes she really just loves music the most. She's taking control of her career and going at it on her terms, and with what she wants to do. She released an album, and filmed a movie, and I really don't think she gives a **** that this has taken away from her promotion of it. I'm sure there will be a time where she goes 100% on promoting an album again, but as for now, she's more interested in feeding her creative soul, and doing so on her own terms. But again, the past year she has released an album, promoted that album, headlined Coachella, did the Superbowl, filmed a movie, and planned a world tour. Say what you want but nobody can deny that she neglected the joanne era in order to do other random projects.
