So trash videos by trash artists get like a billion views while decent videos get nothing. It's fine though. Talent will win in the end. Like YouTube stared back in '05 it was gaining interest in '07/'08 practically started to peak in '12 with Gangnam style reaching a billion views. Also some people use YouTube to stream music.
