One of the few articles that stuck around me is one describing Gaga's vocal ability in concert, and how she chooses to be approachable in studio but fear-inducingly good in person. I personally wish she would bring more of being fear-inducingly good into the studio because she's absolutely capabale of it.

Can you find said article? Sounds interesting.

Gaga has already recorded one cover-album and she offers several impressive cover performances every year so I don't see what is the problem. I'm just glad that Gaga focuses on expressing herself with her own songs, but I'm ok with her performing some covers now and then. One common problem with making cover songs is that there are million other artists recording the same songs. I personally think Gaga has improved herself all the time and considering that her albums are all different compared to each other so I think it's entirely possible that we haven't seen her best work yet.

Doesn't mean I have to be obsessed to be here. I actually just come here for the Madonna threads.

Agreed. Joanne could have been a great album if she wasn't trying to dumb it down with A-YO, John Wayne and Dancing In Circles in fear of her LMs not getting it. In the end she was right, those are some of the fan favs so maybe she needs to dumb it down for them.

Joanne is still a great album, but I agree, this one especially should have been left out of the album. Still a bop ngl.

Imo, this is one situation Gaga fears, and it's that her fans may leave her if she decides to takes risks, which is something I think limits her. There's a sort of obsession to place hooks everywhere, and make poppy songs that appeal to The Fame Monster fans. That's a problem, as it doesn't allow her to feel completely sure about the direction she wants to explore. From now on, she should not listen to what either the media or her fans tell her to do.

She's the artist and she knows that.

I think she is just perfect at what she delivers, for example, Britney i know she could give more but Gaga that's it, the only aspect of her career that i think she can still improve is visual, music videos.

I agree with this. I do feel like she is hesitant to fully dive into new genres or to experiment heavily within the pop realm mainly because of her fear of fans leaving her behind and also the pressures her label puts on her to create a few "hits". The odd and funny thing about this is that by doing this she is actually losing so many fans. Every era I see the fan base shrink and lose more and more interest so clearly her babying the TFM stans is not working so she might as well just do what she wants and fully take risks with her music from now on. It might actually end up beneficial for her even commercially. Who knows.

I don't really care if Gaga has a hit or not, I want Gaga to be herself and to express herself how she wants. It's alla bout the music after all

I mean, we all know gaga can rip appart a classic cover or a jazz tune and I love when she does it, but I love her for her concept, her atittude and the good pop.  I don't think she's scared of doing something else but rather knows her creative forte is pop and show visuals.

I mean I rarely follow any commercial pop artists, that's why I keep coming back to her, because her pop music is good.

Spoiler

Even if she decides to torture us with sneakers, flip-flops and zero promo :awkney:
