She's already finished her fourth album and she worked months with Pharrell Williams on it. He recently described what's she has done with him as amazing. I don't want her to start over and do a country album.

Oh I didn't know this. Pharrell is one of the most talented also, can't wait!

I would actually believe this but it's hard to see Joanne's impact when songs like I'm The One and Despacito are on top of the charts. :toofunny:

The change in sound is gradual, it doesn't occur overnight, and the only reason those songs are on the top of the charts, is because of streaming.

Yeah he's great and Neither can I. I have a strong feeling that the album will come out Q4 after her tour ends. I would love a VMA debut of the lead single but that probably won't happen.

huh impact is unquestionable :firega: However she's also just ahead of the curve, always has been. She knows what we want better than we know what we want.

No... Maybe we get the first single after the summer is over but I don't think we get performances this soon by her. I think fall will be massive for popstars, maybe she'll be releasing during the fall. Taylor, Selena, Demi, might be coming too. 2017 Summer's dead, Latinized and Bieberized.

Yeah, the VMA thing is wishful thinking. I don't honestly expect a new single until September.

The Surrealist

Of course they are, but they won't credit Gaga and pretend they had this idea themselves while they get the praise and Gaga will remain unknown again.

I believe that Gaga will be the artist that will be recognized for influencing every single step that artists take in their creative process after she is no longer with us, and I feel like she knows that, because everything in pop music right now is because of her, and again she's trailblazing a new era, a more stripped back, soulful, pure era.

I feel the same way!

While I agree that both artists are inspired by Gaga,  both artists are Nashville-bred who have previously recorded country-tinged music. Kesha has always desired to record more country, rock and roll music. I guess I just don't care for people acting like these two talented women who have a history of experimenting with country pop-rock music were inspired by an album that isn't even a year old. Perhaps Joanne allowed their respective labels to see a personal, understated country-inspired album could be a financial success? But to say Kesha and Miley's new music is directly inspired by Joanne is a little belittling to their talents, musical careers, and upbringing....:emma:

Well I know they have done that before and you can't really argue with Miley's and Kesha's country roots, since both of their parents are country singers, but so far they were going the direction Gaga was going - dance pop with electronic influences, but putting their own spin on it, which was fruitful for them, but more than going country I'm commenting on them doing soulful personal music, that is stripped back like Gaga did. You don't really have to do a country song that is that personal and stripped back, but Gaga did it and they followed in her steps, while putting their spin on it again and it turned out great. I was really sick of autotune at the point Gaga came out with Joanne and thank god she did, now we get to hear singer's voices without additional overproduction and I really hope the industry will continue on its way to "pure emotional strpped back" songs.

I hope she is as powerful as you say but saying Joanne had impact on Malibu and Praying may be overestimating Gaga's impact. They could be recorded earlier than Joanne's release date. I would say Gaga is low key good at predicting the trend (always few months too early), I wouldn't say music that is released only months after her "influential" album influenced by her.

They could have, but they weren't released and she might not have had the impact as big as I might have lead you to belive she had, but she certainly has paved their way a little and incouraged them and their labels to put that kind of music out.

Ariana better ****ing not.

She needs to serve us another pop masterpiece this year

Agreed, I don't think she is a crossover artist as of now, she might be in the future, but I don't think we have seen the best of her in pure pop, I think the best is yet to come!

I doubt Rainbow or Miley's album will outsell Gaga's.

Miley has always been inspired by Lady Gaga. She had admitted it, even.

REALITY

I think they were somewhat inspired, but I don't think that you can just flat out say that Joanne was the cause of it.

With someone like Miley, you just can't say that she was solely inspired by Gaga and Joanne. Malibu, and her new album, are her. That's who Miley is, and she's going back with her roots.

That said,  I do hope we get more """Joanne inspired""" music from artists. With Miley, Harry, and now Kesha, I think music's going to evolve to a more genuine and authentic realm. Something I'm totally here for.
