About "Screaming" in Music

I can understand people having problem with Gagas singing in PI, but I to me the style fits the adrenergic energy of the song perfectly. You need it for the rush of it to take hold.

Overall I haven't heard any complaints about screaming in music.

Because lots of times singers do scream instead of singing. Reaching high notes =/= screaming, and showing emotion =/= screaming.

I love screams and screamy vocals in songs. It adds passion. I love Gaga's screams. Give me more Scheisse, Bloody Mary, PI, etc.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Mythos

I absolutely hate screaming in songs, maybe cause i'm rather calm person, but there are other ways to get your emotions across.

I personally feel more emotions from lyrics "stack in the middle zone, i want you alone" then ever from her screaming "It wasn't loveeeee, it wasn't.... it was a perfect illusion"

But there are also different kind of screams, PI is different than Scheisse, i don't mind it on Scheisse.

I don't like screaming in pop music, it's just not for me. In fact I kinda hated Perfect Illusion on first listen, now I love it, but it took a couple of listens for me to get familiar with it and appreciating it for the underrated masterpiece it is :diane:

It may be screaming, but the emotions won't be the same. Even David Bowie and a lot of rock classics scream. I love it when Gaga and Chris Stapleton belts it out.

And this performance  All you "screaming singing" haters did not deserve this performance.

the screamings in PI are unbereable tho, too loud and unnecessary. Praying is better.

Sometimes I like it, sometimes it annoys me a lot, I kinda hate Perfect Illusion in that sense, and it doesn't help that she's pretty much screaming the same lyrics over and over.

Miracle

Gaga screaming in Perfect Illusion is actually amazing. A lot of rage.

The screaming in Praying is kind of boring tho.
