It will also bring inflation to China and other countries! Healthcare costs and lower productivity has an economic impact too Plus China is towards the upper end of developing. For some time now their main driver of growth has been retail consumption and the service sector as wages rise and their middle class grows for the past 4-5 years industrial manufacturing and exports have been under performing. At this stage of their development going forward, factories making things to export will not be a major source of growth hence why their economy is slowing in growth rate For many years to come China will continue to manufacture a lot of goods to export, but its not really where most of their growth is gonna come from going forward. Companies already there may stay for now as China still has relatively cheap labor... Well regardless of their motives, the result from removing Coal is the same positive result China is almost 50% of world Coal Consumption.
