Trump's whole campaign was based on tricking the uneducated and ignorant into voting for him. A lot of the people who voted for Trump were genuinely hoping to improve their situation and you can't blame them for that. But at the same time, it was so obvious Trump was lying so it's hard to feel sorry for them, especially since that now the whole country is screwed because of them.
