Meanwhile, pretty much every day in America —

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

Twisted mind set of a lot of Americans unfortunately.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I would say that it's power and authority that has went to their heads, but saying that, how comes it only occurs with American officers?

I really dunno :oprah:

In my messy era.

The American system was designed to opress minorities. White supremacy has not been erradicated from the system.

a mix of racism and awful police training. police is just a weapon of the racist institution that is the government and as result, cops aren't pushed through enough psycological tests to make sure they're not vile, deplorable human beings.

police everywhere, not just the us, have a history of violence and injustice against the opressed and they're rarely a item of protection for the folk but rather a way of ensure they're under tight control.

no, that's not the case.

i'm definitely sure there's other cases from other countries, the media just doesn't put those in the spotlight

So it is just power and authority going to their heads then?

Lack of education perhaps?

In my messy era.

Power/authority issues mixed with an American brand of racism. But the power/authority thing is seen in other countries and cultures as well.

It's a cultural thing, with an extra racial element making things just worse. For whatever reason, the US as a whole has some kind of punishment fetish. This culture also shows in the police. Rather than preventing crime, they choose to make things worse. Perhaps to show off their masculinity to colleagues, perhaps to 'show who's boss', perhaps because they truly are psychologically ill-prepared, perhaps because US police is trained to actually use their weapons? No clue.

A few muslims bombs a city = HATE ALL OF THEM
A few cops being rude/ignorant = HATE ALL OF THEM

The majority of muslims are against ISIS, but if you look into at a bunch of police killings, you'll see that their whole department protects and backs them up, with the exception of a few officers. There is a very clear difference.

And no, I'm not saying all cops are bad. Because they're not, most are actually good individuals trying to make this a safer place for all, but most still stay perfectly silent when one of their colleagues murders innocent civilians :oprah: that bugs me a lot.
