If she wanted a successful album she should have chosen a relevant sound that's hot right now.  She may be a cute white pop girl but a trap sound for the whole album might have helped the album.  I don't know why but she has a good voice for it.  Dark Horse is a great example.  That should have been the whole sound for Witness.

Honestly I don't think alot could have saved her. Alot of it had to do with bad press and a ridiculously long break.

I'm not even a katy fan (aside from Walking on Air) but Witness is actually her best album. I love it. if the music is good, sales don't mean ****.

I think 1000 Forms of Fear holds that record. It fell to #19 second week.
