Gagadonna 10,801
Hello little DICsters, AYOsters, TCsters, and other dramasters. Beside Lady Gaga, I've been a fan of Sia for a few years now. Her songs are not only enjoyable, but also empowering and inspiring, and her writing skills are really impressive imo. The way she turns her pain into strong melodies and beautiful lyrics is something that gets me all the time. Moreover, she's a hitmaker and manages to turn almost any song she makes into gold for the ears. Apart from her music, I also love her as a person for her touching story (her past as a drug addict, the death of her fiancé, her struggle as a female artist). As a reminder, her biggest hits include "Chandelier", "Elastic Heart", "Big Girls Cry", "Alive", "Cheap Thrills", and "The Greatest". Other famous songs are "Breathe Me", "Soon We'll Be Found", "Clap Your Hands", "Fire Meet Gasoline", "Bird Set Free", "Unstoppable", "Move Your Body", "Angels By The Wing", "Never Give Up" and recently "To Be Human". She's also featured on other artists' hits "Titanium", "She Wolf" and "Bang My Head" (David Guetta), "Wild Ones" (Flo Rida), "Guts Over Fear" (Eminem), "Déjà Vu" (Giorgio Morroder), "Je te Pardonne" (Maître Gims), "Wolves" (Kanye West), "Living Out Loud" (Brooke Candy), and "Starfall" (Stargate and Pink). She wrote "Pretty Hurts" and "Standing on the Sun" (Beyoncé), "Diamonds" and "Sledgehammer" (Rihanna), "Perfume", "Passenger" and "Bright Morning Star" (Britney Spears), "You Lost Me", "Blank Page" and "Telepathy" (Christina Aguilera), "Flashlight" (Jessie J), "Let Me Love You" (Ne-Yo), "Loved Me Back To Life" (Céline Dion), "Quit" (Ariana Grande), "Cannonball" (Lea Michelle), "Crying in the Club" (Camila Cabell). She also wrote for Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, Kylie Minogue, Shakira, Katy Perry Maroon 5, Rita Ora, and the list goes on. Sia has adressed a few times her respect for Gaga, and apparently Gaga'd have already said nice things about her. Of course (...), Gaga never publicly said anything about her. So here is (finally) my question: would you be here for a collaboration between those two incredible singers and songwritters? If yes, would you prefer Sia to cowrite a song with Gaga, or to sing with Gaga on a duet? If yes, what theme should they sing/write about? For those saying their music is not compatible, you are wrong. Some of Gaga's songs are not that different from Sia's: "Til It Happens To You" and "Million Reasons" are a bit similar to Sia's previous work (before "Chandelier"), and "The Cure" is reminiscient of today's house tropical hit songs (which includes Sia's songs). What do you think? Bonus: "Partynauseous" (EDM) was kinda of reused by Sia for "Hologram" Don't let this flop
Gagadonna 10,801
I personally think they would 100% match. I would die for a duet between the two tbh, they seem to be very sensitive artists, and their voices put together could deliver something truly epic. Fernster7 7,912
I would say yes without a doubt if she still was in her 1000FOF era, because that's when I liked her the most, in fact I really wanted a Joanne song to be similar to Fire Meets Gasoline. But right now if I want Gaga to release generic music then she needs to do it in the best way possible and I think there are other songwriters that are better for this task. So it depends on what they plan to do. We have two selves. One the world needs us to be, compliant, and the shadow. Ignore it and life is forever suffering. Ryusei 61,025
only if sia doesn't write the lyrics or they write them together I don't want to see the whole "I look at an object and then I think of what could you do with it and then repeat the same sentence 100x" formula. And what kind of song: a powerful one, both have topics they deeply care about so making some haunting ballad or if they don't wanna go deep a catchy pop song Musery

domixwodix 3,448
I'd like to hear a song, but i'm also fine with no song sia became a "making music for the charts" machine, so yeah it's sort of like, my past is an unfinished painting..

Laceface 2,964
Yes definitely. If Sia features on it, you know it'll have her heart & story behind it. She sells the more generic songs to other artists for dollar. Outside of Sia & Gaga, I don't really rate/like/listen to any other pop artists. River 113,282
If it's the Sia before her success when she was actually doing music for the heart and not for the bank, yeah why not, could be very interesting.. but the Sia of today is just.. Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass
