Delulu Rogers 7,235
It all depends where you're from. Alejandro was hands down one of her biggest hits in Europe/Latin America I see a lot of ppl saying telephone but here in Canada the song is forgotten about. I'd say her 5th biggest North American hit is TEOG and Alejandro for Europe/South America
androiduser 7,438
Telephone, but Alejandro also did well internationally and is immediately recognized as a sinature Gaga song

TheFame Monster 8,924
Gaga performed her highest charting and best selling songs at the SuperBowl, one of which is Telephone. Telephone and TEOG both peaked at #3 in the US, but Telephone sold millions more and had more impact.
LadyJoanneWayne 34
The Edge of Glory / Alejandro for sure. People don't know TEOG it's Gaga but everybody knows the chorus, at least here in Spain. Alejandro of course is one of her biggest hits in Spain, too. Telephone is not that big here. Applause is bigger, imo. BTW is kind of forgotten here. TOP: 1. Bad Romance 2. Poker Face 3. Just Dance (people don't know it's Gaga but they know the chorus) 4. Alejandro 5. The Edge of Glory 6. Born This Way 7. Million Reasons 8. Telephone 9. Paparazzi
PatrickMonster 6,392
A great question lets look into it: Telephone: Obviously riding on Bad Romance's success it got a lot of attention and of course the Beyoncé collab helped as well. Getting the number one in the UK was huge, and also had very good peaks around the world on single charts and airplay charts as well. I think the reason we now think its her 5th biggest hit is because it was performed on her Halftime Show and its like Gaga chose it to be her 5th biggest hit. Before that I really thought its kind of forgotten. I mean I thought in 2010 that the music video is gonna be almost as iconic as Bad Romance, but the views are really stalled since then. Still cute views of course, but its just nothing to brag about unfortunately. The Spotify streaming is great for the song tho, I mean its the second most streamed Gaga song right now if we only count her old hits, which is really impressive. So finally I voted for this one. Alejandro: The music video got big attention thanks to the controversy and it also has nice Youtube numbers since then. In central/eastern Europe its easily in her top 3 biggest hits, I mean in my country, Hungary it was number one on the airplay charts for 2 MONTHS! It can be considered the song of the summer here for 2010. The reason it cant be her 5th biggest hit is the anglophone chart performances. I mean it did good, lot of people definitely know it, but as the third single after Bad Romance and Telephone it just didn't really have a chance to shine that much on the radios in the US for example which really hurt its chart performance. Also the spotify numbers are cute, but its not even above 100M like Telephone... TEOG: This song is loved by soooo many people but unfortunately the music video was a big non event which made it to be more forgotten than it should have been. After the Judas fiasco it really put back the BTW right on track in pretty much every country where Judas underperformed. The mediocre-niceish Spotify numbers really show that people dont really remember it much... I haven't heard this on the radio for 2 years now which is really sad because it really had the chance to stand the test of time. Maybe in the future she can push it somehow and made people get into it more. I'm really hoping this happens. Applause: All the Roar comparison mess made it look like it wasn't huge but in fact the US airplay numbers were really great when the song peaked, it also had nice longevity (thanks to the DWUW mess as well). Its literally one of the only things the GP can remember from the ARTPOP era. The Youtube and Spotify numbers are still going pretty nice. I'm not saying its on people's minds that much, but the song is pretty unique. If Gaga performed this one I really think the vote would look completely different, the same goes for TEOG or Alejandro too. Million Reasons: Guys... I mean we loved what the song did in the US after the HTS performance, and we also loved the greeeeaaaaat longevity it got, but it's really not part of the biggest hits. Maybe, if we only care about the US but worldwide other than like Italy and Switzerland it really did not get much attention, if any. In Hungary where I live it's the only song with G.U.Y. from Gaga's singles that I have yet to here on the radio. The YouTube views are pretty low, the music video wont help it to be remembered. The Spotify numbers are cute, but a new hit obviously gets more listens, so in comparison with other 2017 hits its more like decent than great. LoveGame: It was a cute little hit but mostly got smashed by the monster hits Just Dance and Poker Face. It did its job and helped to get another hit for her, but its like completely forgotten, even Paparazzi is more remembered I think. Even the Spotify numbers are kinda low and shows Paparazzi as the bigger hit.

Now, don't get me wrong, because the legacy of that song is undeniable, but we're talking about the global nature of her songs, and therefore imma explain. I think Just Dance did a tremendous job of helping large audience discover Gaga, but I also think it was very English-oriented. The big deal of this song is about its merry and playful lyrics which non-English speaking audience may not appreciate. Apart from urging people to just dance, she is talking about keys, seeing straight and twisting that dance. I think that explains why the song was warmly received in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK and USA, but struggled to resonate across Europe. And I know many people will come for me for that, but Born This Way, the song, was also not very global. It surely did enjoy gigantic opening sales, but apart from the English speaking countries, the radio stations in Europe didn't support it with decent airplay, because the sound of Born This Way was too much of a departure from her Fame Monster sound for them. The Edge of Glory, on the contrary, was a Gaga radio renaissance in EU, because it relied on a relatable melody and beautiful voice and harmony, and the performance of the Edge of Glory in Italy at Pride did help the song to succeed in Europe. So I would go for: Poker Face, Bad Romance, The Edge of Glory, Applause and Million Reasons Just Dance was played a lot in Spain. It was a big hit here. 9 hours ago, Drin Lon said: I think it's TEOG guys, I really don't think Telephone was that big globally as some are trying to make it I hear TEOG on the radio all the time. LadyJoanneWayne 34
I dunno... Alejandro was the biggest one for sure. Between JD and TEOG is hard... i'd say a tie. I don't know if it means something but a few days ago I was bored in my Latin class and I began to sing TEOG and all my classmates joined me in the chorus. I guess my teacher hates Gaga now... However i remember that Paparazzi have shooked everybody by this clip and for the first time we were talking about "Lady Gaga" as an artist, same for Bad romance, Telephone Born this way and Judas.
