Also, knowing nothing about where the attack took place nor who's show it took place at and still commenting is both inherently disrespectful and also quite tragique. There's no two ways about it. Disrespectful. Terrorist attacks are common in the Middle East. When they happen in Western countries and on a scale so great as the Manchester attacks it has an impact much greater on most of us than if there were an attack in the Middle East as it's an attack on the way that we live our lives. Maybe she shouldn't retire, but she should definitely stick to putting out flop albums and lip syncing in Vegas. She doesn't seem up to much else and she's making a spectacle of herself. So if things don't happen in the "Western world" they are irrelevant, and you have nothing else to say but bitchy stan comments about someone's hugely successful career? Britney didn't mean any harm. She had no bad intentions. She's clearly not the most intellectual person, and as a pop star she's not obliged to be. She clearly has issues with anxiety and hates interviews and could've just gotten flustered. Stop picking people apart and looking for the worst in them when I doubt you are perfect. I am not. its such a joke that a notoriously ditzy blonde pop star is being held to a higher accountability than politicians and leaders.

Thomas P 18,479
Omg she's needs to not speak if Sheba doesn't know the words that leave her mouth. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I'm commenting on how attacks in Western Countries very obviously have a greater impact on us than those in the Middle East. My opinions and beliefs were completely omitted from my commentary. I thought that was obvious. I'm sorry you weren't able to understand. Britney may not have meant any harm but what she did was definitely harmful to herself and to others. If she is going to remark on world affairs or speak to her audience she needs to know where she is, what she's talking about, and if she's commenting on world affairs, she needs to understand what their struggles are, or, alternatively, not comment at all. If I went to someone's show and they didn't know where they were and made a comment about a terror attack that happened nearby that was completely off base, I'd probably leave. It's completely inappropriate. She can be ditzy about Japan being in Africa if she thinks that is a cute look for her (it isn't), but dead people and their lives and terror attacks and where they took place.... probably not. MJHolland 12,725
So out of touch and undeserving of her success Like... how could you not be paying attention to current events?! She didn't even know where she was performing the other night in Asia! How could a person be so out of touch. I'm not trying to be rude but she needs to try harder and pay attention. You can't even be respectful. I have no issue with reading and understanding, maybe you have an issue with getting your point across and expressing yourself politely. What happens in the Middle East has as big of an impact on what happens in America, Europe, Asia, etc. Terror is terror. At the end of the day, I doubt you have ever been involved in a terrorist attack and you don't really have room to speak on how it impacts those internationally. Yes, what she said was ignorant and sensitive people who were involved might take offense. However, it was a mistake. Give her the chance to apologize before you slam her. I'm sure if Britney knew she had hurt others by her ignorance she would apologize. She seems like a really sweet person. Not comment at all? Did you listen? She was asked about it. Doing an interview to discuss her show, I don't think the interviewer should've asked her that. She clearly was uncomfortable talking about it. Its not like she's giving speeches on world issues. You've never accidentally confused one place with another? You've never made a mistake? Good for you. Britney is only human, she's been through a lot, has a lot of issues with anxiety in interviews and didn't mean any harm. Go get mad at the terrorists, our world leaders who are screwing over refugees and minorities. Give Britney Spears a break.
