But it is not clear what the cut-off date would be. Mrs May made clear the proposals would be adopted only if the same rights were granted to UK citizens in other EU states, it is understood. Imagine moving to the UK 4 years ago (depending on what time frame they decide) and finding out you have to apply for a visa and potentially lose any benefits. It reflects our laws regarding immigration from other countries outside of the EU. The majority want what we originally voted for, access to the single market. The U.K. never voted to be a political union with Europe but that's what it turned into. The effects of Brexit (whether good or bad) will have the biggest impact on the young who largely voted to remain. The EU doesn't need the UK as much the UK needs the EU. UK is a sinking ship, even banks are leaving more and more London and moving to Frankfurt.
