I do love that Gaga is a perfectionist and is involved in every part of making music but I do wish that sometimes she just lets go a bit and does a nice feature or two.

It's not like people would lose respect for her if she does it.

Clearly not if Kendrick Lamar can get on Don't Wanna Know without any backlash.

Just read on Twitter that the security said 29k for Citi Field second show. Idk if we can trust but anyway.

Maybe ~66k with the two shows.

WHAT :madge:

Over.

The second night still had more people than 2 Madison Square Garden shows.

The first night had around the same amount as 2.5 Madison Square Garden shows.

Overall she would have comfortably sold out 4 MSG shows and probably added a 5th one with curtains on the upper level.

Gaga's only condition to collab is that you sit down with her personally. Not really her fault that the only people willing to collab with her were Florence Welch, Nile Rodgers, R. Kelly, Too Short, Twist & T.I..

I can hardly believe this sorry

I think that she doesn't accept someone else's lyrics (she has to at least contribute), she wants to be involved in the production and we also know that even if everything is aligned great like the song with Cher she can still decide after a while that she doesn't like the end product for some reason.

Again, she is a perfectionist and that is a good thing but she really is tough on collabs. Too tough if you ask me

I think she still could add 2 shows at MSG in 2018 but it's not happening :gaysia:

SIS, I don't think how collabs these days work. Nicki Minaj has been sending in Green Screen shots for the SINGLES she has been featured in because she can't be bothered to show up to the set. Everyone is busy with anything BUT their music.

Also, Cher recorded The Greatest Thing in Gaga's absence, Cher just like... rummaged in Gaga's songwriting garbage and picked something she semi liked. Gaga has actually offered Cher to write a new song and record together but Cher declined so far.

I'm definitely not saying Gaga should follow Nicki's steps, god no :rip:

But I am 100% sure Gaga was offered many times to collab with different people now, sometimes under their conditions more than under Gaga's and just because of her work principle she declined. And maybe some awesome songs could have been made, songs that Gaga would love as well.

I'm just saying she should be more open and flexible when it comes to collaborating, but of course she should not lose her artistic integrity just to record a song with someone.

I'm 100% sure that if Gaga "opened up" to work under other people's conditions, she would NOT like the song as much as she would have liked an "objectively" inferior song she did alone, and therefore wouldn't give it as much promo as the fanbase would have wanted. She still performs Telephone because it was one of her biggest hits, but she said she absolutely hates the song & video because of the drama surrounding it during the recording (Britney declining to record, having Beyoncé record it on the other side of the world, trying to get the rights back from Britney).

But tbh, I do understand why Gaga doesn't wanna do this "e-mail me your verse" thing anymore, literally every collab nowadays sounds completely soulless and dull because of it (see: Despacito, Swalla). I'd rather have it stay that way tbh

Sis, Adele is THE woman that told Mark Ronson in the studio to f*ck off for trying to work with her as if she was just a singer with no creative input other than her voice.

That doesn't take away from the point you made about RIhanna tho. I'd probably guess Rihanna contributes more to the lyrics than music but it's still songwriting.

Sorry but Adele is very much like Gaga in the respect of songwriting. She writes ALL her music, she is credited as the main writer of all her songs. She started as a songwriter and has always been. Never heard of that Mark Ronson drama but I'm sure that's to do with production or she wants to write the song herself. Adele normally only has herself and one or two extra people credited as songwriters occasionally.
