Is Game Of Thrones Good?

Obviously the answer will be yes, but..

- Why is it so good?

- Does it not get boring?

- Is it only good because of all the action? (in that case it's probably not for me)

- Rate the show /10?

NO SPOILERS PLS

Interesting story, very beautifully complex characters, great action sequences (though i dont care or watch it for that), a nice take on humanity and national "politics", beautifully fleshed out lore, introduced a new attitude towards characters, tropes, and plot armor. As you certainly know, many characters die, no one is really safe, which makes the psychology of watching it fascinating. There are no real "This character is obviously the main character, so they are safe~" at all. There is also some very moving stuff, you really start to feel out the characters, so their deaths are generally pretty shocking and upsetting when they happen. For me, the fully fleshed out lore (moreso in the books than in the show) and the interconnected aspect of the characters plots is what is interesting to me. It's not imo some like, cautionary tale or allegory for a larger moral point. The show could literally end with "and there was no point to this at all!" and it would still be very entertaining television

I was skeptical last year, but I started it right as Season 6 began. I caught up and was so gagged. Watch it if you can.

The show is average. Not great, not awful. Just average. I personally don't like the acting. I prefer the books, which are great, although they are too long. I would give the show a 5 and the books a 10.

This. Though its more a thing in the earlier seasons. Each season is pretty binge worthy and there is a good balance of cliff hangers and genuine curiosity that propels you to keep watching. I watched S1-3 in like, 2 days.

I didn't give it a chance because I thought it was just swords and shields. But it actually has a lot of magical aspects to it. There is a ton of characters in it but for the most part they give them all character development.

Well considering season 7 is like the thing i have been most hyped about in my life for years, idk if the show is just that good or my life is just that not good :flop:

It is good if you like that kind of lore, dragons, kingdoms, witches, war, strategy, etc.

Think about RPG games, or at least Lord Of The Ring. GOT is like the hardcore version of that, with less of fantasy creatures and more on politics and strategy.

It captivates people because it is intriguing. And nobody is safe in this film. Each episode, fans would hoping that their favourite character will live on to next episode and again and again. That's one of the charm, once you are infested in certain character or clan, you'd want to follow their story and see how they'll end up.

VforVendetta

Excellent characters and character development.

A world so detailed that you believe it exists.

Excellend dialogues.

It makes you appreciate history.

It has unique ways of approaching stories and characters.

It has so groundbreaking cliffhangers that it can make you scream (like the finale of the 1st, 3rd and 6th season) and many other moments in the seasons.

The music is epic.

If I judge the show compared to the books I will have a lot of critiscism for it (The Tyrells and The Martells are far superior in the books and they are my favorites along with the Starks so it hurts and they also spam Daenerys in your face in the show) but as a standalone series it is excellent. If you are a fan of history, complex character development, the fantasy gerne and bold deaths you will love it.

The greatest aspect of the series (and Martin's work in general) is that it plays with your ethic, everyone approaches everything with a different point of view for each person.
