Perfume 8,801
One of the biggest rap acts of 2017 has sampled Lana Del Rey's "Yayo" in their newest track "Hard to Tell". The version of the song they used is from her shelved album "Lana Del Ray". Listen Here: an angel held me like a child

But Lana's first album that was pulled from iTunes was titled "Lana Del Ray" as she went by Lana Del Ray at the time. It's also commonly called "Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant" since that's the writing that appears on the cover. Kermit 15,807
Suicide Boys are trash. I wish XXXTENTACION would have sampled her instead. He's got the ability to get in touch with a more calmer side of himself, while having an alternative spectrum completely opposite. ex. “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. AlexanderMagno 10,746
When I read the title, I thought that some boys played Lana del Rey while committing suicide it looked pretty likely tbh. I don't know who Suicide Boys are but I'm kind of happy this was not what I was thinking.

No one really knows for sure, but my guess is she didn't want to use Ray since that was a male figure in her life (evident in unreleased tracks like Wayamaya where she says she will name her kids "Lana and Ray", Raise Me Up where she uses Ray in the songs lyrics, and more) so she switched it to Rey for whatever reason (maybe as it's spelled in the Californian city, Marina Del Rey) an angel held me like a child
