yohoitsjofosho 39
Burqa...only cause she sings it with an accent(?) and the other reason being the lyric "but in the bedroom the size of him's more than enough-uh-ough-uh-ough" carried right to the chrous. LOVE.

Luxe Ford 3,481
Burqa! I never found that title *that* controversial, especially as it wasn't even a single. It might instigate a few heated discussion, but discussions are never bad things. What Gaga wore back then, in sinful chiffon, wasn't burqas but niqabs. "Behind the curtain, behind the niiqaab!" And the song is actually admiring the burqa and not going against it.. and with aura you don't understand this connection.. I live for the demo version of Aura, wish she had kept those vocals for the album version

I was on my phone with a bad internet connection and the first few times I played it, it stopped after the intro. When the whole thing loaded I LOST MY SH*T. The song is insane in the best way possible, and that version kept the most fun, insane energy of the three. building a daydream

The song has nothing to do with the middle east - sure there is a string section that is vaguely middle eastern sounding - but it could very easily be interpreted as spaghetti western sounding too. I think in the context of the song the change to Aura works better. Burqa was always used as a metaphor for the facade we see as Lady Gaga vs. the real girl who she is - Stefani Germanotta. I feel that Aura is more appropriate since you can describe someone as having an aura about them that just encompasses them and follows - but the song is about looking past that to get to the true person. Idk I'm rambling a little bit...
