I am still pretty new but I really enjoy doing this... I would be happy for some constructive opinions/feedback, may it be good or bad on these 2 new songs:

(Trying is newer, a bit better production in most the feedback I got)

1. Future

2. Trying

I like trying but the key change turned me off try going darker or harder on the beat. Like when it hits at 0:26 it reminds me of a gameshow production song or something.

I love house music, but not so much EDM, so my opinion may be wonky  Also I only listened to the second one cause I don't have Spotify :duck: On that note here's my constructive criticism of the second track.

I love the crunchy/deep bass that begins at 0:13, so I was a little disappointed to find out that was the only appearance it makes in the song. Also, the part at 0:56 could be executed better, unless that was the sound you were going for, but it cut the flow of the song and made it sound like it was falling apart. Other than that, I love the melody, very classic house music, and I love how it doesn't waste time like most songs of its genre, it cuts to the chase. Very interesting combination of EDM and house, I don't hear it too often but it works.

As for Xalser I feel like there are multiple beats competing with each other I'm no expert but for a frequent listener of house or edm it feels cluttered'ish. i'm sorry I'm a bit harsh.

Sorry, I did not think of posting the YouTube for the first. :toofunny: I'll add it in now.

And wow! Thank you so much for the in depth description. And yea, I am still pretty amateur on some aspects. I have been looking into music theory more so lately and have made some improvement, but, still a lot to learn and actually learn to apply that to my new work.

Not harsh at all! I could see how that is for sure.

Okay I listened to "Future" and it has a much more polished sound. I love the first drop, and I love when songs like this have vocal samples. The song does feel kind of long but that feeling just comes with the genre. It reminds me of Chakacha's song "Stories."

Interesting for sure, most people say they like Trying more. Then again, depends on the audience I present it to I suppose. Different styles.

I listened to that song and YAS. I love it tbh. I see their vision with the vocal samples and seemed to be doing what I was thinking with the laughing backing samples.

Well I think I would like "Trying" more too if it were worked on and finalized. Update us so we can hear the final version!

Yes I did! :firega:

Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot tbh. Glad you like it! And ye Trying was put together rather quickly in comparison to Future, but the drums/bass were not as fined tuned for Trying like in Future. Future was my first EDM song.

I do have other songs, but they are more focused on the vocals of the singer I worked with, though.

I just woke up but I lovelovelove the speeding car- and laughter samples in Future! I live for noises like that.

A bit hard to dance to because I get distracted from the kick and lose the rhythm.

What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford

Glad you like it! It is something I will probably try again with vocal samples.

And yea it is quite busy, hard to dance to at a normal club. Haha
