i only found once or twice people who were kinda discriminative against other cultures on gay dating sites/apps, along the lines of "no rice" and so on.

apart from that i already stated my opinion about this topic in this thread and see no reason to include skin color issues in a flag that is about sexual freedom for all people.

personally i never thought " whoa... this flag doesn't represent my skin color(which it doesn't) so it needs to change according to my desires"

nevertheless i am still all for equal treatment no matter what your ethnicy or skin color is, cause black people (even tho evidence is anecdotal) still get treated worse often times ( typical example airport) . but changing the lgbt flag is not the right way.

Of course I read your previous post regarding the flag - and I agree with you.

I was quite shocked about Egypt's posts, how "divided" the LGBTQ+ community in the USA seems to be in comparsion to the German scene.

I don't think that we are singling out POC here in Germany like Egypt described in his previous posts - with the exception of mentioning "sexual preferences" on dating apps as well as "body-shaming".

That's the reason why I @dded you.

Thank you nonetheless very much for your answer!

:)

Totally agree with this, green and blue people get too much representation in the media

It's just a flag. Add a color. Erase a color. It doesn't change reality. But if people will feel good about adding a new color, then do it.

Kindness rules all.

The reactions to this flag from the people on this board are proof enough that this is a necessary thing to include in our flag.

Let's be honest, the only reason you claim to have no seen something that is so ****ing prevalent in this community, is because you are blind to it. It doesn't affect you, so it doesn't exist is basically what is happening in your mind.

The only way that you are not seeing profiles with comments like that is if you live in a place that is very ethnically uniform, like Asia or many parts of Europe. In countries where there are many different kinds and colors of people, those comments are extremely prevalent.

Each color represents something. And guess what? None of them represent ANY races. Like red means life. Green means nature. Adding the extras makes no sense.

Edit:

It is most commonly flown with the redstripe on top, as the colors appear in a natural rainbow. Aside from the obvious symbolism of a mixed LGBT community, the colors were determined to symbolize: life (red), healing (orange), sunlight (yellow), nature (green), harmony/peace (blue), and spirit (purple/violet).

you seem to not have any ounces of reading comprehension.

i never said it wasn't prevalent in this community. the user qualle1 asked me and others for their experience and i replied with my experience, with what i've experienced, what i've witnessed.

plus: your logic doesn't make any sense and is wrong, since i wasn't affected by people who are like "no rice plss" personally, but i was still able to experience this on the dating app.  (-> making your whole argument wrong)

if you think i'm "blind" for not creating more fake scenarios that didn't happen just to make it more dramatic...well then that is your own flawed "blind" mind.

Actually I think I just didn't realize how uniform Germans are, I thought it was a more diverse place but it's like 99% white. Oops.

Well then you are even more blind to the issues facing poc which makes it even worse that you are so against adding black and brown. You are the definition of "it doesn't affect me, I don't care."
