I'd love to say something, but then I would have to warn myself so I'm gonna keep quiet. :madge:

Her "awww" at the end just breaks my heart. She ain't just some random person on the street, she's on the celebrity side of the carpet, she got clearance to be there. Give her a damn hug.

I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt especially if she's a fan. Imagine Gaga doing that to you. :cryga:

Okay, I love Jerry Seinfeld. I've been watching Seinfeld literally every day of my life for eleven years... and I'm kind of having a hard time stomaching this one. I think it's possible he didn't know who she was and thought it was maybe just a crazy fan.... so in that case it would be okay for him to say no thanks. But there's this.....there's him defending Michael Richards after his racist meltdown. Eek. Jerome.

I don't see the problem with this, I mean nobody's obliged to hug anyone :emma: Also at least he said "thanks" when saying "no", it just seems worse because she pushed for it which forced him to say it multiple times in quick succession :rip:

He could have greeted her or shook her hand or something but it mostly just came off as a complete rejection of her greeting overall rather than just the hug and the dismissive comment at the end made it worse :emma:

That's not remotely the same. He's famous and she's a fan, aka one of the people who watched him on TV and contributed to his vast fortune and lifestyle. Not showing her gratitude in the form of a two-second hug is just rude and arrogant.

I get the 'personal space' thing, but for god's sake it's a hug, she wasn't asking to finger his asshole.

That's where I disagree, she was showing her gratitude and he probably appreciated that but he doesn't have to hug someone to be grateful. If I approached Gaga for a hug and she turned me down i'd understand. It's someones personal space, we don't know any of these people personally and we don't know what they're comfortable with.

In his eyes this was a random woman who called herself a fan and acted incredibly excited and then begged for a hug whilst he was in an interview, for him to be a bit miffed and say no is really no big deal and makes total sense. I might sound like i'm over reacting here but the world right now is getting scarier and weirder so people are, especially people in the public eye going to be more reluctant and watchful.

I just can't believe people are slagging him off for turning down a hug, it really has nothing to do with being a fan or not. She wasn't in the wrong for approaching him and he wasn't in the wrong for expressing how he felt and turning her down
