Losing interest in Gaga?

I agree that stanning for her now isn't the same as it was in 2011, but that doesn't mean I'll ever ditch Gaga as a Stan. You know the awesome things about Gaga is that she is so devoted to her craft, she is constantly evolving and she is unpredictable. I love that Gaga is unpredictable, it adds to her interesting artistry, it's one of the things that makes her such an interesting artist! We never know what direction Gaga will go, or what her stages will look like, or what she will wear! It's all a suspense and I live for it!

I've almost completely lost the interest I once held. That isn't to say I wouldn't come crawling back the second she releases new music (that doesn't sound like a chainsmokers knockoff :madge: or a second rate country album)... but keen to see ASIB and here for a second jazz album. I still love her as a person but she's lost me.

I visit this cult site daily :trollga:

What About Us

I'm a Gaga fan for sure. I may not be as devoted as I used to, but she is definitely not losing me as a fan. I've been a fan since the beginning and that most likely won't change.

Promise I'll always be there. Promise I'll be the cure.

Evolving? So going from Music videos like Alejandro, Bad Romance, etc. to the MV for Million Reasons is what you call "evolving"? Or even Perfect Illusion MV, that's evolving?

Yes actually.

Evolution is not linear and does not imply "better" or "worse" - it's branching and changing. She changes. Whether or not you value or like the changes she makes is irrelevant and merely your opinion.

I like this site, I still like Gaga a lot, but I think I'm not that hyped like I was back in 2013 and the years prior to that, maybe because the last era (Joanne era, yes I said it!!!, it's over y'all:ladyhaha:) was bizarre and not so excting. The superbowl was great, I liked Coachella and "The Cure" and of course the John Wayne video, but mostly I like her as a person more than "Gaga the artist".

Spoiler

FYI, I'm still her stan, and I still buy her music and stuff :ladyhaha:

I think people are losing interest because she has lost her shock factor. People would always anticipate what she was going to do next. But she is more to herself lately and very quiet with the fans. I do believe she will maybe come back some day. She didn't really give us much with Joanne, and instead spent the entire era filming a movie.

She wont lose me as a fan, that I can say for sure. She is unpredictable, always puts out great shows and live vocals, does her own thing, is versatile, and is a good, kind person. The week of superbowl and MetalliGa perfomance was one of my favourite things as a stan ever, it truly was something I did not expect. And then decided not to doubt her again :tony: Her recent talk about mental health issues has also helped me a lot

And actually, I don't even think Gaga would want us to be completely obsessed with every move she makes, or chart positions. It's fine if you have other faves, I have too. But Gaga is the one who's moves I'll always anticipate.

I used to have massive interest in her, almost like being addicted to every single thing she says and does, and used to collect everything she releases and buying albums multiple times..etc. but eventually, I felt like she's become somebody else and that started with ARTPOP. Everything at first felt larger than life and ambitious but when the era started, there were just promises of new videos, promises of impressive things, but nothing really surprised me or caught my interest like the previous eras. After that, it was C2C, and I'm so not interested in Jazz and it wasn't even her original songs, either, and after a long period of waiting, Joanne came was probably the most unexpected thing, it was a country album or had country influences or whatever you wanna call it, but while the album artwork suggested something original and new, the album had only 3 songs that I actually enjoyed, and it felt like everything was half-baked and rushed. The Cure followed which gave people hope that this could yield an EP that is more like her previous style, but the song didn't even get a music video and was forgotten within a week or two.

And now she's working on her movie and of course, I pretty much understand that she's her own person and she can create whatever she likes, but I personally am neither interested in country music, rock or Jazz and I honestly don't care about her as an actress. You might think I'm only addicted to Pop, but that is totally untrue because most of the stuff I listen to are either Ambient, New Age, Electronic or hell even soundtracks for movies and games. I basically listen to any song that appeals to me, from any genre. But I just don't see Lady Gaga as any genre other than Pop and Electronic music and the stuff she did with The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way and even in ARTPOP.

In addition to that, I used to believe in her as a person and artist and also her statement, but with each new interview she contradicts herself or she says stuff that I cannot help but feel that they're fake or untrue. She's free of course, to say and do what she wants, but there are just too many false promises regarding her releases, too much overhyping of her work and too many times where she said that the "Gaga" persona is basically her and now suddenly she's treating it like a phase. Of course, people grow up and change, but I can't help but feel like she used to feel much more authentic back then and she felt such a perfectionist, but now everything feels quite indie and not the type of indie where it's clear that the artist is doing his/her best.

Am I a fan of hers? yes. Do I get super excited when new material is announced? yes. Do I wanna see her live again? of course. Am I interested in her new directions, or at least like I used to before? sadly, that's a big no.

NO. Gaga is a legend. Joanne is excellent and made me appreciate her much more. I have always been a fan of Gaga but I didn't become a true stan until the Joanne era. Joanne gave us a fresh, unique, interesting music and a beautiful era.

Gaga QUEEN. I will never lose interest.

Yes, I have lost interest in Gaga since ARTPOP. Everything since 2013 are unfulfilled promises, lies, etc. I was one of the most faithful fans she could have.

Until 2013 she was great, innovative, extravagant, unique and always enigmatic and mysterious, now she is boring, basic, she has no vision of what she wants to do with her musical career, she has no ambition, now she is a singer more of the rest .

Now Katy Perry has more concept and ambition than Gaga. I am no longer excited by anything she does. :(

Here's to our brand new start, I won't be waiting for nothing. I'll mend the broken parts. Pick up the pieces,

A few years ago I was excited to see what new dress she would wear, I was excited to see her new videos, listen to her new music, everything she said was exciting for me, the way she spoke was unique, I remember crying when she premiered The video of GUY:toofunny:

Also she was enigmatic and left us clues in her videos, her interviews etc. For me Lady Gaga died in 2013 and now she's trying to be the great gaga of the past without successfully achieving it becasue she needs her old team. I hope she's back to being great like before. I hope LG6 is a reward for all the lies and all the canceled projects. #MAKELADYGAGAGREATAGAIN

Years ago she was ambitious, perfectionist, she and her old creative team planned everything very well, now it seems that she does not care about her musical career or her fans.

Am I a fan of Lady Gaga today? Until 2013 I was Little Monster, a big fan of Gaga and I loved her with all my heart, but after so many contradictions (of her) I do not know what to think, apparently everything was a lie and today I can only consider myself as a Fan, a Gaga's follower, not a Little Monster. I hope this changes and I call myself Little Monster again.

I couldn't agree more with all three posts of yours, especially about the lies and contradictions part. It's basically the same thing for me.
