Her concept of Fame, typically at Award Shows, has often been to expose how ridiculous this all is. Volantis is an entirely different topic altogether though. As a matter of fact, and this may hurt some people's feelings, but a lot of ARTPOP is an entirely different topic altogether when compared to the fashion and technology she modeled in previous and future eras. Sure there were grand moments, but a lot of it was messy and rushed. And volantis, aka the giant drone with a metal body cage attached to it, was very messy. Furthermore, if she was ashamed of past looks, she wouldn't have even agreed to be on RuPaul's Drag Race celebrating some of her most shocking and iconic looks.
