A lot of Gaga's art and visuals are inspired by retro imagery and sounds (TF was 80's synth pop and Grace Jones/David Bowie, TFM was 90's Europop and vintage horror, BTW was 80's electronica in both music and imagery, ARTPOP's imagery was inspired by some retro 50's space stuff, and Joanne was obviously 60's and 70's pop music and vintage western imagery.
