Why is Gaga silent about the attacks?

Now I know Gaga isn't obligated to discuss what happens in the world, but she has always shown her support and love when the world has needed it the most. I remember when she attended the memorial for the Orlando shooting and discussed terrorism with Dalai Lama.

But she hasn't even mentioned the Manchester and London terrorist attacks, I just find it weird since other artists are voicing their support while she is advertising her merchandise.

Maybe she is doing something behind the curtain :)

Exactly, she is not obligated to talk EVERY single time about those issues, and we all know how she is in terms of that, she preaches about worldwide love and respect.

She'll be privately grieving.

You know what the public are like anyway. She'll voice her support and some will say she is doing it for "attention", yet when she doesn't tweet something, people question her support. Either way, poor girl cannot win.

In my messy era.

Maybe she is afraid of speaking up against the terrorists because she's going on a sold out world tour and pretty much stands for everything terrorists are against (lgbtq -rights, equality, women's rights, freedom,...). maybe she just wants to draw as litle attention as possible to herself.

I don't get why every celebrity has to say something about it..? It's just so pointless. I find the whole, "lets change our FB profile picture filter to the british flag & post 'praying for x country/place" meaningless and it certainly won't change what happend or prevent it happening in the future yet again.

That would go against everything Gaga is portraying: Being fearless, powerful, strong, and kind.

Remember that one country protested against her. Or the time she wanted Russia to arrest her?

I don't see why she should, every time a worldwide event happens people ask why Gaga hasn't commented on it like she's some sort of global spokeswoman

A lot of people prefer to reflect on things like this privately. Terror attacks are also a pretty regular occurrence now so considering how inactive she is lately on social media her entire feed would be her sending tweets related to terror attacks. It loses meaning after a while.

I think everyone knows she will be deeply saddened by what happened.

Maybe she just feels it's gratuitous at this point, another day, another tragedy, another tweet. It just feels empty after a while, like you're just going through the motions and saying what you're supposed to say.

is everyone obligated to speak out for and against everything nowadays? I hate this sentiment of: she doesnt give a **** she didnt make a social media post about it like come on.

Gaga's life as of right now must be the most stressful, depressing, and taxing experience. With the death of Sonja, working on going on tour, making a movie, being away from family, etc. I think its best she keeps her sight on the positive in the world rather than the awfulness of the attacks.

I'm sure she's going through a lot with Sonja just passing. She might just not know the right thing to say. We are lucky she not only speaks up on most issues, but gets out there and acts upon them.

Perhaps she's as confused and hurt as the rest of us

To be frank though, I don't understand why people complain about it so much. Yeah, it physically won't do anything, but what's the difference between that and wearing a pink ribbon to support breast cancer awareness? People are doing it as a sign of respect, and it's symbolic. To complain about it too is pointless.

But to be fair she has put herself on that pedestal, she acted like a spokeswoman during the election. Gaga isn't just known for her music but her humanitarian work as well.

seems like she made a pretty clear pivot with super bowl to use her celebrity in different ways than before

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.
