But one thing I'm sure many of us can agree on is that she can sometimes deliver TRUE ALBUM AESTHETIC. With One of the Boys she played out that "pinup girl" vibe so well. With Teenage Dream she was a cotton candy queen all era serving up colors and fun. With Prism she was all about opening up and her aesthetic still matched the album concept somehow. But with Witness.....WTF?!?! We are three singles in and I still don't know how any of this relates to the concept or idea of the term "Witness". Originally I didn't care but I'm seeing all the news about Witness: The Tour and Witness: The Album but why has she ditched her overly-conceptual aesthetic this era?! I would be so here for the album if she stuck with a common "theme" or "look" throughout the album cycle like she has with past albums. There must be something tragically messy happening behind the scenes, i can't wait to hear about it Either she's up against her team and trying to do stuff on her own or her team just doesn't exist and she's trying to promote this thing single handed I've been a fan of Katy bops for a long time but I agree this era lacks a coherent message/theme ...ıllıllı c h e r r y c h e r r y b o o m b o o m ıllıllı... Like she is asking us to witness everything that happening around us in CTTR Then in bon appettit, her visuals direct towards how women are portrait as a meal in the society In Swish swish she is telling everyone her side of the whole Tay tay drama, asking us to witness it. Also at very beginning of the era she kinda already mentioned the whole theme as woke pop etc and she is indeed binding the singles by using woke references in either the song (cttr) or visuals (bon appettit). As far as I know, Chained To The Rhythm started the futuristic vibe that represents the album? or tour promo, at least that's what I get from it. The entire "Witness The Tour, the album" etc. seems like they're talking about a new experience, new life, new planet, alien life, etc. I don't know. I really can't compare this situation to Gaga since she changes her image all the time between singles and albums and doesn't stick to a theme all the time. Like Marilyn Monroe sorta said? Hence the flop teas etc. Idk I'm ranting Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad. There's no album concept this era like Teenage Dream. Just songs. This type of thing happens when an artist wants to release, just for the sake of releasing and so they can say they did.
