Kellyanne Conway Wants to Be a Washington Power Hostess

White House aide Kellyanne Conway recently bought a home worth $7.8 million that she plans to turn into a hub for political parties and power walks.

“I intend to dive into social hosting,” she said in a May 30 interview with Mansion Global.

Conway added that she is already planning “power walks” with Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross’s wife, Hillary.

“I’m the poorest kid on the block,” she joked of her home, which is around the corner from the Ross family’s $12 million mansion as well as Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's home. It is also near the neighborhood where both former President Barack Obama lives with his family and where Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's home is located.

The area is also home to multiple foreign embassies. Conway has promised to visit the British ambassador's residence with her two corgis. 

Washington Business Journal reported May 25 that Conway and her husband, George, a partner at the Wall Street law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, bought the nearly 11,500-square-foot home for $7.785 million through a private company, according to property records. The home boasts eight bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms, a pool and an elevator on more than half an acre, according to its listing.

The Journal reported that a deal for the home in Massachusetts Avenue Heights closed May 17, but the deed was not recorded until last week.
