It's about 2 hours from Halifax. Not Country at all, it's in a pretty affluent area. Just trying to prove that the housing issues are only in urban areas and that to combat the problem all we have to do is move 20 minutes outside of a city or more... which doesn't seem like that much of a sacrifice? So, yes the Problem is National! That's six cities in four provinces, three of which are in Ontario. All people have to do in Vancouver to find more affordable housing is move to Delta/Surrey/Langley etc. they're all so close and so much more affordable. Calgary is in the middle of nowhere, all anybody would have to do is move ten minutes outside of the city in ANY direction to find affordable housing. The same can be said of essentially all of these cities. Not good with Montreal costs (which are already quite low)?? Move to Laval. There are tons of pretty towns literally ten minutes outside of Montreal. It's just so silly to me that we're letting our wants get in the way of our needs.
