United calls police on gay dad

While the issue here is more about the insensitivity/ignorance that United displayed in regards to gay parents and the obstacles they face already in adopting and fostering, I can tell you from personal experience that out of all the airlines I've flown over the last decade, I've only faced discrimination on United flights, multiple times, by their flight attendants and employees.

Sorry that you have gone through that. I have never flown united. I stick with AA and Jet Blue sometime. I have family in PR so I fly there a couple times a year from Miami or FLL. What ever ticket is cheaper. I am not trying to say what you feel is wrong. This particular case just seems a little weird.

This has nothing to do with homophobia, it's about a woman being worried about a child's safety and just making sure everything was right. I don't understand your reasoning at all.

Nothing to do with homophobia yet every single article written about this mentions the fact that he's a GAY dad, this post is under LGBT, and the man who was detained is planning on suing United  ok girl

Neither were you. How do you know he wasn't holding him inappropriately. The whole crew made the decision. I do think United's apology was handled very inappropriately. But again, if it looks wrong report it. The authorities will handle the rest.

because yeah absolutely the dads after going through the tragedy of losing a father in PR would molest their son on a public flight back to the US. listen to how you sound defending this.
