Luxe Ford 3,481
Antiloop - In My Mind I remember the streets of Stockholm as more crowded in 1997 than this. Must have been filmed in the morning. This played constantly back then. Effective trance track! Edited May 7, 2018 by Luxe Ford What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
Luxe Ford 3,481
S'Express - Mantra For a State of Mind DJ Mark Moore's fabulous party music machine released this track, mixed by his friend William Orbit, in 1989. Some years before he produced Ray of Light, that is. It reached #21 in the UK, lower than his previous singles. It was covered by Primal Scream on their album "Enjoy This Trip (the title also a reference to S'Express as late as 2016). Some legacy! So yeah, enjoy this trip. And it is a trip! Luxe Ford 3,481
Detected blatant recycling of filmed material in these tw old house monsters. In this one (and I've seen Dave Morales DJ. He really is that buff!) there's footage of UK DJ Judge Jules crossing himself in the DJ booth.. ..which is also seen in this more trancey number with...I think the baby faced guy is Rollo? I'm grooving at Club Lonely tonight! What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
Luxe Ford 3,481
Good morning! A less boring example of progressive house, a British subset to Chicaco house. Often more melodic, heavy on percussion and as pretentious and boring as its name. They also tend to go on forever. This one from 1995 however, the vocals recorded at 4 a.m. according to 'delta belter' Wonder herself, has one of the most deep hitting, infectious basslines I know of. Just do it! Luxe Ford 3,481
Baby Ford - FETISH This Fetish hits hard enough to give you a nosebleed, yet has melodic traces of Baby Fords beginnings as a sort of popstar for the acid house generation. It even has a chorus of sorts. Baby Ford was one of the main players in the UK acid house explosion in 1988: imported from Chicago, spreading through Europe, exported back to the U.S. and is to blame' for things as diverse as EDM and the use of pacifiers at raves. Hm. *frowns slightly* What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
