It isn't preventing anyone from surviving. You can survive on a plant based diet, which is MUCH cheaper and accessible to most of the world, especially third world countries.

Do you live in Africa and in poverty? Because as I said in a previous comment, I can't imagine any vegan coming after tribes like in the Inuit, who live in poverty and in the Arctic to go vegan. I would never condemn anybody who lives a similar lifestyle to stop living off the land, but I am sure that you are not included in that group of people.

eh, I hinted on purpose because I didn't want to give too many details because I prefer to keep it private but it's not a case of anemia, you actually can prevent anemia as a vegetarian if you eat the proper food..

We could be helping starvation so easily and so cheaply with plants, but instead we are feeding the cows and pigs, just for cravings...

This site gives information about how produce workers are treated in the STATES, the poverty they face, and the issues with the entire industry. Click on links to other foods, such as cocoa farming, and you will see the slave labour involved, and the little incomes these people make. You can't seriously believe people forced into work like this can afford to go out and buy a burger, its absurd.

Exactly. You people love to take away everything from other countries which is one of your agenda as far as my observation goes, seeing as some of these people's comments, especially the vegans, love to condemn meat eaters. Taking away what is to them the only thing they could exchange to provide themselves other needs. You think that even owning a land/property, to plant their vegetation, would come so easy? This is what blinding you, Westerners, you all have had it so easy. Changing diet come so easy for people living in the first world countries but to the poorer countries, it is not.

And there is exactly the problem: you people could've been helping the poorer countries except you, vegans, are also taking away their other options. It's not very easy to trade away that doesn't come naturally to their land.

But without such trade, those countries wouldn't prosper and end up in a much worse condition. Imports and exports are very important.

Of course not but my past condition in life is more of the same. I've faced poverty. My family lived through eating rice, salt, and some vegetables. It is very difficult.

However, the reason I picked Africa is because:  The first world countries are more aware of these countries, more so than the other countries.
