Arthurs surrendered to police after a brief negotiation, shouting "Allah Mohammed!" while being walked to a patrol car, police said. "I had to do it," he said, according to the police document. All this proves is that he's extremely unstable and violent...not that he was actually someone who subscribes to typical Muslim ideology though. Also "Allah Mohammad" makes no sense. Mohammad is considered a prophet is Islam, not God (which is what that phrase would basically imply). I think this is just a case of a severely unstable weirdo jumping to a glamorized aspect of Islam to justify his murdering of his equally unstable and weird friends.
