They are shiny, yet not too shiny. They hit the perfect part of the calf to make your legs look longer (as a short girl, I know this), and more slender. They have edge with all the straps, and such, but are still oddly sleek and feminine. The heel is perfect, thin and not too clunky, which makes her dance movements more interesting visually. They balance out the outlandish things that she puts on her body. And finally, for continuity, they tie in every era. Its like not liking Stevie Nicks' shawl. In conclusion, its all about the boots.
