Come on, people, this is a great idea! Trickle Down Economics at it's finest!

The wealthiest 1% could really use that $800 billion....preferably somewhere off-shore where the money won't be noticed and will be at no risk of helping America.

We really need that money to trickle down offshore so the super rich save enough on taxes back home they might create a job or two...maybe even hire a couple of undocumented workers by paying them cash to do jobs for next to nothing.

**** the poor that need healthcare and let's "create jobs"!!! :usrs:

Let him cut it.

Once these Republican voters realize their Medicaid is being but, they'll know who to blame.

Or maybe not :madge:

I doubt Trump voters read the news. Or even dress themselves in the morning.

Taxing the rich only makes them even more greedy. At the end of the day, the 1% pays the majority of taxes. I wanted to add that everyone's still covered with some type of healthcare policy. It's usually the states that get to decide (which is a good thing, less D.C the better)

In San Francisco they've raised the minimum wage to $15, families have lost their businesses (mostly minorities)  Walmart is even phasing out chasiers for self checkout. It's not good, at all

We need more conservative outlooks and less socialist policies, they just don't work here in USA.

It doesnt give a period of time tho. Clearly this cant be per year as its too much money

Extremes just dont work period

A $15/h minimum wage and high taxes kill businesses, jobs and the economy

But being too Capitalist is not good either as after a certain threashold, each Dollar cut in taxes/spending no longer has enough economic benefit to compensate the lost social benefits average joes now have to pay out of their own pocket

Also decent minimum wages help increase productivity per worker as it encourages companies to use workers efficiently and makes workers happy. $15/h is obviously too high. But $11/h for example instead of $8/h in some States wouldnt hurt!

I neither Support Socialism or Capitalism. I think a balanced moderation between the two is ideal

You know, Mixing Government with Private Healthcare i think is terrible. Companies are just less efficient with resources when they suck the Government of subsities increasing unit costs

The US i think would be better off either Privatizing completely (and just giving lower income class credits to help) as that would force efficiency and health care costs should drop...

Or adopting a system like ours in Canada where most things are Government funded (some segments of healthcare are private but the Government doesnt subsidize those segments keeping it seperate)

I love Universal Healthcare. And those stories about people dying waiting because its too slow are greatly exagerated or sometimes is missing details. People with serious conditions waiting too long for treatment is not by any means the norm...

The only thing u might sometimes wait a few hours for at hospital is if u have a mild headache which has no priority. Or if you request an MRI for something that the doctor is convinced isnt serious or life threatning and as a result others get put ahead of you!
