I hope she adds additional shows in Europe too where she sold out. The Italians definitely deserve something more for stanning the good sis Million Reasons so much.

Yeah, can't understand why they didn't add a second date @ Milan

same during artRAVE

And if the Manchester date still hasn't sold out a month from now, she should just cancel it :chica:

I just noticed how much these new acts are helped by spotify payola and they don't have impact on youtube that much.

For example Scars To Your Beautiful has 299m. streams on Spotify.

alessia.gif

The official music video 48m. streams only and Audio 55m.

1/3 from spotify numbers

                      ....

On the other hand Julia Michaels with Issues

giphy.gif

276 m. spotify streams

Official mv 38 m. - Audio 40m. and lyric video 1.3 - 80m. overall

again 1/3 from spotify numbers

I think you are forgetting that both YT and Spotify offer payola. For example every time a play Shawn's TNHMB the following song 90% of the time is Charlie Puth's - Attention. But out of all streaming services YT pays the least so it would make sense that record companies would choose not to invest on YT for newer acts.

It's just weird to see that they have so many streams on spotify and when u see their official videos, their numbers are just meh...not what you expected for these streaming hits.

For some reason when YT autoplays songs for me it always ends up to All about that bass, Shake it off and Roar...all of them have over 1b, views

Artrave in Turkey had seats available on every section except Diamond Circle on the concert day but they reported it sold out with more than 19.000 people on the concert

The music scene is so crowded with so many up and coming acts, I'm actually happy Gaga is on her way to complete her first decade and become established. If she continues her upward trajectory, she should have no problems cementing her place in the industry, if she hasn't already done so

If she didn't cancelled ArtRave in Lisboa, she won't cancel on Manchester.

If The Cure finally becomes a hit then we can say we've had an effortless hit (no promo, no video)

Has Gaga confirmed if The Cure is about Sonja?

I don't know about Gaga, but here's posting from Sonja's friend. He mentions The Cure was written in response.

It's sad if Gaga released a video on time like Miley did, she'd be scoring a proper US hit. Instead TC probably already peaked on the H100.

Yeah but is releasing a video really going to help that much. Gaga hasn't had a big YT hit since Bad Romance. She doesn't really nuture the YT audience. Which sucks considering she started her career on YT. She was the original YT star with her One Sequin at a Time diaries. It just seems that she doesn't really know how to manage social media at this point like she used to in the beginning of her career.

I think it's gonna help a little but more internationally. But i think she doesn't care much about MVs anymore :madge: She may be done with being extra (and sometimes too extra) I blame ARTPAHP :grr:

i don't know if someone already posted it this but it looks like witness will be a Spotify exclusive, I think that's a smart move since she's not selling that much:golfclap:

Interesting, considering Spotify didn't want to do exclusivity deals. But just so you know almost every big act last year had exclusives with some form streaming service. Drake had a 19 Million dollar deal with Apple Music. Taylor had her concert on Apple too. Selena had a music video exclusive on Apple, Meghan and Ariana had a full week of Apple Music before their albums went on sale. Rihanna with Samsung and TIDAL, Beyoncé with TIDAL. So it just part of the business now if you are big enough act to have a deal with some sort of streaming service.

I really appreciate how @DonnieDarko & @Americano keep it real. It's good to be all super positive but it's good to also keep it real and call a spade a spade every now and then. Sometimes the sugar coating is too real and there is this satisfying feeling when you both come and squash it :poot:
