i want to see all the meltdowns when the video is released and it has the same effect it had with G.U.Y.

As long as the video is anywhere close to G.U.Y i would not even meltdown if it had 1 view and 0 impact on chart since it would be one of her best videos ever :giveup:

Well, imo it's not totally correct. She was at SXSW prior to this which was highly publicized, then she had a sold out seven dates at Roseland closing and a follow up - a sold world tour. She had a hit single with Applause a couple of months earlier that at the time had 100m + views

GUY was just not a good single run - promo wise and stuff. Even with that eye candy video she could not get anyone interested in the song due to lack of promo and few rookie mistakes they made with the roll out. Though I really feel no one at Interscope and Gaga herself thought GUY had any chance of going anywhere.

Exactly. There was no momentum as G.U.Y. was also no single-material because it was more experimental than for example TC is imho. The TC already managed so much in a short time without any promo and I think the GP reception towards this song is also much stronger than it was with G.U.Y. Also Gaga comes from very hyped big promo events Coachella and SBHT so I think the basis for TC is already better in comparion to G.U.Y.

I am agreeing that the time management with TC was messy and it sure lost a lot of its momentum to peak much higher. HOWEVER I think Gaga is at a point of her career where this shouldn't be the priority anymore and it should be focused much more on overall sales/streams and certifications and serving longevity! And that's the reason why I think it is good that they still try to push the song on radio and hopefully with a release of a music video rather than just disappearing from the scene.... (Which would make a comeback even harder....)

MR was losing 350 spins amount during the same time. Whats your point?

This wasn't about MR, which I know lost spins similarly. Point is LOTB was Payola/label driven (MR was too post SB)

releasing a music video when the song is dead is just pointless but it will help it reach platinum

Here's IG post from MR video director. Read the comments too...

Since he tagged #commercial, it could be for the upcoming JWT. However, he says "back", so, let's take it for what it's worth.
