My Last Breakdown (God Willing)

I am just stunned. It hurts so much that The Cure isn't doing as well as we had hoped. I just don't understand why it's so hard for Gaga to get a hit. Like I said in my other thread, Gaga is in a similar position to Britney, she's considered a pop throwback act, she's not current. It's only going to get more and more difficult from here on out. I just don't understand what happened. Part of the problem was that Gaga's earlier music was so succesful, she reached her commercial peak almost instantly. Two diamond certified singles right at the starting line. It's so hard to constantly top yourself when you become the biggest star in the world quite literally overnight. When the general public loves your initial music so much it can be hard to top it after a certain number of hits.

Maybe go outside or read a book instead of caring about chart success?

I understand what you are saying but do like me...I learned to not care too too much about charts. I track her chart performance just as a fun thing instead of it being an anxiety ridden activity. If she succeeds it's great and if she flops it's ok that way because I don't look at Gaga like I would Rih, Katy or Taylor for example. I don't consider her as a super commercial artist anymore and it helps! She is doing great for an indie act :poot:

if you let your mental health be hindered by pop music's chart performance then maybe real life just isnt for you

Just remember that it's Gaga that controls how successful she is, not the gp or anyone else

We can do our part by requesting the song on the radio and streaming it, the rest is out of our hands. I really wouldn't put so much thought into it though? :laughga:

It moved up like 5 or 6 spots on BBH100 this week, that's pretty good considering it doesn't have a video? So it still has time to bounce back. If you remember, Just Dance was released months before it went #1. Anything can happen. And, if it doesn't happen, that's fine too. Gaga will have plenty of more hits in her future.
