Did you expect the Joanne era?

I didn't know what to expect from the album other than she stated that working on the new album was "like operating on an old cadaver" (or something similar I can't recall) then she started posted about working with RedOne, being inspired by the countess. So there was that assumption of having a dark pop album. Of course looking back I can see how Gaga wanted to do something like Joanne after the bad experience from ARTPOP to finding the joy in music again from Cheek to Cheek.  And the transition from RedOne to Robson sealed the deal. Especially in between them she was like working with so many different people so she was searching for someone to give her what she had in mind. I think for her she was fortunate that Mark was available to work with since he was somebody she long wanted to work with.

Uh Red Wine... Convict... Gah Gah...

Of course not, Joanne is a mistake, she had "cleaned" her image with the golden globes, the oscars, Jazz's wonderful album, it was a great time to release the great pop album, with great dance hymns and a great Concept but she released the trash Joanne. :toofunny:

i thought beacause of the rumors they said Gaga is going back to the roots i thought they meand RedOne and The Fame and Fame Monster Era with Born this way mix. And I was really happy because I think when they work together they always do amazing Jobs. But Joanne was more like Red an Blue so this was the real "back to the roots"

I thought that  Gaga will make an Album like Joanne but didn think this one will it be..  but I also think she is gonna do the next album more like her others not country more modern music sound Pop and even R&B. I also hope for some songs with RedOne. Still love Joanne but  the other albums were just more my music style. But I am so happy for Gaga that she made Joanne... she proved she is much more than the others think she is. And its really a strong and full of emotion album.

Lol Joanne is not trash. It's her best and most beautiful album to date!  I respect your different opinion though! To each their own!

OT I didn't necessarily expect an album as raw as Joanne but I really did hope she wouldn't just put out another album full of dance tracks, so I was very happy with the results!

Thank you, finally someone who is not blinded by fanaticism. Joanne is good but does not have the quality of her other albums, and is a forced album and sometimes irritates the voice of gaga.

And well, why release an album like Joanne if she let it die?

Here's to our brand new start, I won't be waiting for nothing. I'll mend the broken parts. Pick up the pieces,

When she started out ? No, I thought she would forever be "crazy" but hey, I was 13, I would have guessed if I had been older and more mature. After ARTPOP it was obvious she would do something like this someday : she was already showing her "true self", the girl behind the aura, without the make-up and wigs. C2C confirmed that. I wasn't expecting a return to pure electropop after this, I was sure we would have something with rock influences and with more focus on her voice. In 2015-2016, she did so many tributes and covers, she showed the world she could sing and she had to continue on this way with the next album. And she went through so much sh*t before that she had to take a break from all the "crazy" stuff and be free to just let the music talk for once.

I was expecting some current pop girl era except at mid 2016 I was smelling something by the way she used to look circa the pulled truck thing

I think the quality of her voice is beautiful on Joanne. She sounds so natural. It's miles and miles ahead of anything on The Fame. I actually think The Fame is her lowest quality album.

As far as Joanne era dying, it's not over yet. We still have a whole tour to look forward to! I was originally going to see it in Atlanta but now it looks like I'm going to buy a passport to see it in Toronto!
