Actually BTW was my least favorite Gaga album for so long bc I disliked so many tracks but then I listened to it as a whole a few weeks ago and I've been cured lol no idea how I could dislike any of these tracks I absolutely love all of them now:happy:

Legit my only complaint with Joanne is that it's missing that kindof undefinable "thing" that makes it "Gaga".  I think John Wayne has it.... a little genre mixing and a slight edge.  Although I love the album,  Diamond Heart, John Wayne, and Perfect Illusion, even DIC to an extent, point to the album that could have been epic.

I think what the album has - which is quintessential Gaga - is a prodigious focus on craft. None of the tracks sound like they were created on an assembly line, the songwriting is tight, they all incorporate various influences and blend them seamlessly.

I agree with those points.   The songwriting is actually the smoothest put together of all her albums.   Less "respect the vomit" and more "clean it up a bit. " :)

Something about the album is just so obnoxious and dramatic, but it still works. It's such a vast, large pop album that I feel like is on another level, in terms of writing, production, and execution.

3 points in and ready for more
