Flopped into oblivion? You're crazy. 4 sold over 3 million copies at a time when a hit album sold anywhere between 4-6 million (BTW, for example). She didn't "flop into oblivion", it was a mild underperformance that showed legs and is now considered a success.

Also 4 leaked in full a month before release.

Britney is more remembered for her greatness, the impact she had and he songs. Beyoncé meanwhile is revered to as the ultimate performer, deservingly. Britney has the bigger legacy, but that's it. Everything's been tarnished and forgotten. Kids today don't know who Britney was. While Beyoncé continues to grow as an artist, Britney's career is in retrograde. Bey saw after 4 that the public is moving towards a sleeker and more curated sound. More focus on content and polishness and she capitalized from that. Today Beyoncé is seen as more accomplished.

It makes me sad that Britney is forgotten, nobody, even Madonna or Beyoncé has her stage presence before. It was electrifying yet completely natural. I wonder what could've happened had 2007 not happened.

Wtf.. the thread said "who do you think is more successful." I said who I THINK is more successful, and why. And then you come along saying, literally this:

"The question is about who is more successful. Not who is more talented. You are running away from the topic. Totally unrelated."

Talent and success aren't totally unrelated in my opinion. Just depends on how you define success. You define it differently, and that's totally fine. I don't give a ****. So I'm not sure why you felt the need to tell me my opinion is off topic or incorrect :toofunny:  It's just a different opinion than your own :toofunny:

EDIT: 1 reputation point; joined 3 hours ago. Never mind, I get it now :emma:

You should go and google the definition of success and talent first. Btw, dont react like a mad dog.

Why are comparing LEMONADE to CIRCUS?! More people were buying albums in 2008 since streaming didn't exist. WTF is wrong with you?

And why don't you compare Circus to I Am... Sasha Fierce which came out in 2008?

I Am Sasha Fierce OUTSOLD Circus both in terms of albums and singles in 2008, genius.

I am Sasha Fierce was only Beyonce 3rd studio album and she was still a new solo artist by then. Its not a fair comparison. Britney had been in the industry for 10 years by then, Beyonce as a solo artist was only 5 years by then. Its not fair. A fair comparison would be Beyonce 3rd sstudio album Sasha Fierce vs Britney 3rd studio album "Britney" and Britney beat her by a long shot. Plus, the total global retail value of all music sales in any form is valued at 18.8 billion dollars in 2009 and in 2016 it was valued at 15.8 billion. That is a 15% gap difference. Even if you add a 15% increase in her album + single sales in order to reflect the lower market value we have currently compared to 2009 Lemonade still wouldnt be able to beat Circus.

Circus has much higher number when you added total Album Sales, Digital Singles, Streaming, etc. Circus is still better by a mile.

"I Am Sasha Fierce OUTSOLD Circus both in terms of albums and singles in 2008, genius. "

Baby One More Time outsold "Dangerously in Love" + "I am Sasha Fierce" + "Bday" genius. So if we want to play the game of comparing which one is better at their peak, I advice you to totally stay away from this area.

Respectfully. Lol. Who is using the four letter word? You or me? You're accusing me of being mad at you when its actually the opposite. Oh btw, just to add. If success = talent. Then I guess Christina Aguilera is way2 more successful than Madonna. Cyndi Lauper too. So you're definition of success is non related to this topic.

Do any of the people here lambasting (talentless) Britney's talent think this is 100%, UNARGUABLE, INCONTESTABLY AND LAUGHABLY EMBARRASSING????

We shouldn't pit these 2 successful ladies together, but I personally prefer Bey. No thinking required. By a lot. Brit has some bops from a decade+ ago, but Bey has managed to remain relevant since the late 90s (with DC)/early 00s (and don't say lol 4 flopped no one cared about her because 4 words...WHO RUN THE WORLD). Bey had her breakdown in 07 (not saying that OMG IT'S HER FAULT WE SHOULD BLAME HER, but it happened) and a string of mediocre not-so-hits. By the mid 00s, Brit already reached her peak. Bey was rising and rising until self titled solidified her status in the industry (it's a great but rather overrated album, but denying the impact it had is false).

I really don't care tbh. Your opinion is different than mine, I respect that. I'm not sure why you feel the need to continue to push yours down my throat  Please stop, and just accept that we have different views lmao
