Right? That's exactly what I was thinking.

Without a LED screen it's really hard to give something different. Especially for the countries with small budgets. At least the LED screen made it able for the smaller countries to give a nice touch to their song without going bankrupt.

I'll probably miss the LED floor even more, like, it was always used in a good way. Even Salvador used the LED, so it's kinda hypocrite to just ditch it. In my opinion they fooled themselves. If you ask me it's not their place to decide this for every country, it should be in the hands of the countries. LED became a standard for stage design and people expect it to be there. If you want to be innovative or unique, just do something unique without deleting stuff. If "Music is not fireworks" means no LED screen, then why would you bring literally more fireworks then ever and soooo much lights? It's just not logic. The stage is way too big and empty. Maybe it will look great on screen. I hope we will get a good stage design with all the technology we had in 2016, in 2019.

I totally agree!

Just one little thing to add regarding music not being fireworks and LED relation - most of the songs (this year and every year) are firework department anyway, so why take away such an important part of the staging?

If it were me, countries would be obliged to meet the criteria from last year or do better when it comes to staging. I was really hoping for awesome effects, holograms and whatnot, but it seems that we are getting a light show.

But I will say that the stage does look beautiful.

Luna moon me up! Asiel is bringing 🇦🇿Azerbaijan to the top. She is slaying her vocals and dance moves on the ice rocks that made the Titanic sink #AllAboard. It looks fresh and will be a good opening for Eurovision 2018!

Talking about Ice, here is 🇮🇸Iceland! Ari is keeping his performance like his song; dated. He so cute, his vocals are great, but this will have 0 chance in a semi this strong. Anyhow, it was Iceland their choice, not ourselves.

We’re going from a man with high notes to another man with high notes. It’s Eugent from 🇦🇱Albania! He’s also going for a simple staging with the really original colours blue and red. I think they can join Iceland.

Sometimes it feels like it’s meant to be slaying. Sennek is going dark! It was a mather of time, but 🇧🇪Belgium is in it again. The staging feels almost the same as the staging from Blanche, but it fits this song so much better.

So after a little breake we still get some other huge favourites. Next up: Chez Republic. Later on: Israel, Estonia and Bulgaria. And also less hyped songs like Lithuania and Belarus. Yaaaaasss.

Couldn't disagree more with Albania and Belgium! While Eugent is not my favourite and I don't particularly like the song, his singing and emotions could and should put him through.

Sennek, on the other hand, brings boredom to a new level. I liked her song in the beginning, but now I find it hard to listen to. It's faaaar less impactful than City Lights, and staging is bland and uninspired. Also, the dress is horrible :poot:
