Portugal looks like a gorgeous place, and I'm certain that there are tons of hidden gems to explore On 06/09/2017 at 9:35 PM, Johny Wayne said: I'm from Porto, not from Lisbon, and even though I know the city a lil bit, idk if I can be much of a help xD Im sure that anything Id tell you can be easily found on any tourist guides How long are you staying? And when you say around the country, you mean around Lisbon? Because there is indeed a lot to see. To be honest, what you find in tourist guides are pretty good. You have to be more explicit about he kind of places you're looking for For example, if you're going to Lisbon, you have to visit Sintra. Sintra is like Disneyland, but instead of rides you have palaces. It's a beautiful place, beautiful mountain range, with really a lot to see. You will take AT LEAST to days to see Sintra (and that is, if you want to see everything). Lisbon is a capital, and you will find lots of things to see and to do. Depends on the type of person you are, what you like to do. What I can tell you is that Lisbon is not as much a city of monuments as it is a city of streets. That means: Lisbon's charm lies in getting lost in its streets, discovering it's neighbourhoods like Alfama, Mouraria, Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado. It's an old city with an old spirit, bohemian and somewhat nostalgic. Has a nice nightlife by the way. If you're looking for monuments, there is Belém, the area where most of Lisbon's iconic monuments are. Now, as I said, these come in any tourist guide. If you want something further from Lisbon, tell me and I'll let you know. If you want other details (where to eat, where to stay, and what type of "hidden gems" you are looking for please ask, since I didn't understand what kind of gems you are looking for), please say so. My appointment date is still being determined, but chances are it's gonna be in mid May-early June. I'm fine with leaving the city (I've had people tell me that Algarve is beautiful, but that's down south afaik) I'm kinda into history and culture, so I'd definitely aim to see as much of that as possible. I don't really do nightlife, so that's not really on my list. I might be in the area for a week-ish. Is that too long for Lisbon or does it have lots to do? Thanks sis (also Sintra looks stunning )

Thanks sis (also Sintra looks stunning ) A week is long enough. Sintra really is a beautiful place! And if you're into history and culture, you will LOVE IT. Save two days, at least, to visit everything in Sintra. Belém is also FULL of history, and you'll spend a whole day there. You will love discovering Lisbon. It feels so good to simply walk around its streets and feel the city's vibe. Even if you find yourself having one day with nothin left to do, you will want to walk around Lisbon. Algarve is too far away. The beaches are great, but if you're staying for just one week I don't think you should waste your days going there. It's a 3 hour journey by car (but if you still love to go to the beach, well you should take three days to stay in Algarve and enjoy it). The thing with Portugal is that it is a small country with LOTS of different areas, almost different cultures, lots of things to see. We have amazing beaches, we have beautiful mountain ranges, castles all over the country, very intimate cities. I think you should focus on Lisbon/Sintra and enjoy the city life. There is a lot to see and specially a lot of vibes to take in. And it will take your whole week. Porto is the next must-see city we have, and two days there seem enough to me. But it's far North (about three hours by car), so you have to count on that as well.

Dutch 91,370
🇭🇷 Croatia confirmed they will participate at Eurovision 2018. Welcome back @Josip! Maybe they will reach the final for the third time in a row. Thank god the times has changed for Croatia, because after 5 years not reaching the finals and two years of withdrawal, they came back with a bang. Lets enjoy that moment again:
Dutch 91,370
Talking about the finals, 🇬🇧 United Kingdom also confirmed their participation at Eurovision 2018. Like every year, they will be in the finals because they are part of the big 5. Hopefully they will end in the top 10 this year instead of ending in the bottom again. I'm sure they can make it. I will never give up on you UK.

Also, probably our only chance at winning or cracking top5 like ever
