Bellatrix 34,639
Here are the songs that will be competing in UKs Eurovision: You Decide! Could it be London 2019? Spoiler Goldstone - "I Feel the Love" Asanda - "Legends" RAYA - "Crazy" Liam Tamne - "Astronaut" Jaz Ellington - "You" SuRie - "Storm" I think my favorite is Asanda. UK better vote for her Eurovision: You Decide will take place on the 7th of February hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Måns Zelmerlöw!

I think the overall quality is good, yet they all miss that little extra to make it a top 10 song. With a good staging and vocals, some songs can elevate to something great. At this point Asanda is also my favorite. I think the UK is on the right track to good results at Eurovision. 1 hour ago, Bellatrix said: Look where Iveta was last night! Dutch 89,787
Goldstone with I Feel The Love, sound like OG3NE singing a Little Mix song. They are my #2 out of this list tho. Asandra with Legends sounds a lot like Cool Me Down by that Polish girl, which was dated back then, so this is also even more dated now.
Bellatrix 34,639
It's only one week (and one day ) until Melodifestivalen finally begins again! Second best thing of the year after Eurovision This year the final of Melodifestivalen will get a "new" voting system. Previous years the juries have used the points 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 point system. Now they will use the traditional Eurovision system 1-8, 10 and 12 points, meaning that only two songs will get 0 points from each jury. The points from the televoting will still be given out based on the percentage, meaning that if a song gets 10% of the votes it will get 10 points from the total 638 points which has been used in Melodifestivalen since 2011 and which Eurovision picked up on in 2016. Bellatrix 34,639
An official confirmation from Russian Channel One has not been made yet, however Julia Samoylova has announced that she is going to Eurovision and that preparations have begun! "So the preparation for Eurovision has begun! Finally! 🎤 We met our team with the production director Alexei Golubev, discussed the forthcoming participation. The song has already been selected, so we are working!" If you missed last years drama Julia was selected to represent Russia in Kyiv, but Ukraine couldn't overlook their political mess with Russia regarding Crimea and banned Julia from entering Ukraine. Instead of choosing another artist Russia chose to withdraw and promised that Julia would get to represent Russia in 2018 no matter where it's hosted. Now it looks like she's finally getting to Eurovision!

In other words, they changed nothing and jury will yet again decide the winner. Which maybe isn't such a bad thing considering last year's televoting when Nano and Wiktoria finished 1st and 2nd respectively

It will be more even between the songs when they are voting as they're not skipping the 3, 5 and 7 points. The people will have 638 points instead of 473 which means that the songs will get more points (20% of 638 is more than of 473 for example) and hopefully there will be a bigger difference between the peoples favorite and second favorite. I usually like it better when the jury favorite wins tho
