Okay this about to be the most corny thread EVER!!!!!!!!!! But...

Malibu just makes me so happy for some reason. It makes me believe in second chances and true love and that everything ends up being alright in the end.

Just the whole vibe of the song. The melody, instrumentation, music video, lyrics.

Terribly cringey sappy post over and out. Thanks for listening :toofunny:

It makes me cringe. She seems to try and act all nice and innocent and it just doesn't work and that harsh voice just makes my eyes squint with discomfort. I wanna like it but I don't sorry.

PSYCHOSHTICK

You just took the words out of my mouth. I feel exactly the same about it.

I can't stop listening to it.

The only problem I have with the song is that the 'Aaaahaaahhaahhaaa'-bridge is so long and we only get a short version of the chorus in the end. I really think the last chorus should've been a little longer, but that's my only thing with it.

The song is really corny and sappy, yet I find myself enjoying it. Strange choice for single material, but it's different compared to all the other stuff out right now.

Bio

I expected more from her, I love her voice but she's not singing that great on the track. The melody and lyrics are too repetitive and the music video is too try-hard.

I'm just... I'm let down?

Both #Bangerz and then Dead Petz were steps away from her career beginnings; they both were fresh enough in their own ways, artistically and sonically, that she successfully set herself apart from the other Disney Girls. But with her now revisiting a past sound but not really adding anything to it, it feels like a lazy regression. I was here for the aesthetic when I saw the Billboard shoot, and had high hopes for her sound - that it would be a progression in a new direction. But this song is what we got...?

Miss Miley, I just... I don't know what to say, I'm hoping the album has some real depth to it. More power to those that like Malibu, not trying to rain on your parade. But I, for one, loved Dead Petz and thought that it was such a risky move forward artistically - the way it was released, the actual content, etc - that if she were to go back to her "roots", it would have to be gripping and visceral in a way that makes it current.

Just some thoughts :diane:
Glad there are fans of it, I love Miley, but for this stan, I was looking for more.

I didn't know what I wanted from her, but she nailed it.

I totally agree with you, I just can't stop listening to it. :diane:

I feel like this is the sound I was hoping to find from her sister, Noah. A bit more dreamy pop.

I do agree that the song sounds beautiful. I get a bit bored after a while, but that melody still lights me up!

It has a nice sound and props to trying something different but her vocals in this just go through me. I normally like her voice. :duck:

It's like the only happy song that's been released this year so I'll take it.
